Of course no one "intends" to. But I'm guilty of subbing for 3 months, playing for 1.5 and getting bored, and then not fully utilizing my last 1.5 months.

The point is, it's bait to get you on the hook. Once they have your 6 month sub they don't care if you play or not. Hence why the game is dead atm (even before TBCC launched) and no 9.1 in sight.

but u got those 3 months intending to likely playing, what im saying is very different,no1 gets 6 months KNOWING they will not play them just to get the mount...it would be cheaper to just...get....the mount ...the fact is the 6 month mount is a GIFT

Honestly I expected it would be halfway this month, but they keep adding more details. At this point, I'm guessing 5th of July.

  4. #64
i think early july places the raid mid july finish by august
    then 9.2 announced in november
    9.2 launch in april

i mean it truly looks like they just dont understand how the gearing systems are working

I voted September. If it was going to be early July, it'd have been announced already. The pessimist in me would think that bean counters in Blizzard will only care about the release date when the TBC hype starts to trickle off.

Are we suppose to take this thread seriously because I can't at all with having a "Never/Cancelled" option on the poll. I don't think for a second anyone can actually believe that as a possibility.

I know any statistic for covid is hard to find right now with it being such an obscure topic, so I helped you by just asking google.

He's a little off(counting fully vaccinated), but not by much given how quickly it's happening.

It's abnormal how much time they need for 1 relatively small patch.
People don't realize we're getting almost no new sets, items or anything.

There are no tier sets. There are no new armor-type sets (new raid drops recolor of existent "legendary" (lol) sets).

Close to 0 new type/mount models.

    No new faction.

1 extremely small zone (Korthia is about the same size of Mechagon added in 8.2. Just to remind that Mechagon was MINI ZONE added as bonus with Nazjatar)

1 "mega" dungeon (about the same size (with reused assets) as Mechagon)

Raid with reused assets from Torghast and Oribos.

All new campaign quests are done within existing zones and covenant sanctums.

No new mayor systems (like we had transmogrification added as new feature in patch for example)

    And so on....

This is absurd. Literally it's INSULTING player base. They are doing so with their "quality", quantity and lack of (and mis)communication.

Omg you sound like heelzvsbabyface talking about Argus because you aren’t just wrong you are so wrong that maybe 3 things in this is accurate

“No new armor sets and no new mounts and no new weapons”
Literally the first build proved that wrong

    “No new faction”
Fairly certain that’s wrong in a couple ways

I mean if you are satisfied with the same mounts/armor in a different color. Sure. You are Activision's favorite. But overall he's actually not that far off. He exaggerated for sure, tho.

Compared to other content patches 9.1 is very, very sparse on new assets, armor / weapon styles or anything else. Most stuff has been in the game already and just has been recolored for 9.1. Sure, here and there are new weapon and mount models, but all of it is very... uninspired and bland. 8.2 with Nazjatar and Mechagon brought something completely fresh to BfA and 9.1 basically being Shadowlands' .2 patch is very underwhelming in that regard. You clearly can see that they wanted to spare as much work as possible, that's why most of the things we get are already part of Shadowlands or take place in the Covenant zones - not saying it doesn't make any sense, but there's zero artistical evolution in 9.1.

If you consider recolor version of already existing armor sets as something new..... then thats your problem.

Im 90% sure that we could find these sets in game files already if you would dig enough.

And if you compare "would be 9.1" to Argus patch..... man, you left me speechles.

im just going to say August solely for the earnings call numbers. Subs are already inflated by the people that bought the 6 month for the mount. in feb. those end next month. either they are going to say their numbers are strong because of those subs even if the players arent playing or they are going to post 9.1 numbers for q3 and somehow spin it into them improving this disaster of an xpac.

You know I actually applaud Blizzard for this. They really found the method to create content with the least effort on their part, that still counts as enough for the general playerbase. I mean it's this mentality that caused me to leave, but as a business they need to please the crowd, not me. So give credit where credit is due, I suppose.

At this point, does it matter? It’s too little of a patch, and way too late as many players won’t come back this time

The patch, the size it is, should’ve been ready by March

For this much delay? The patch would have to be bigger than 3-4 major patches combined.

It’s just a generic average patch. Nothing special but a raid and yet another meh mega dungeon built for m+. Zzzzzzz

This WoW dev team is, by far, the worst in WoW history

9.1 is NOT happening in June. My reasoning is the following - BC released in June and counts towards the 2nd Q, they'll pace themselves out and release 9.1 sometime in July or August for the 3rd Q. Plus, all the signs point out that they're nowhere near ready, understaffed, Covid and all. The same dumb excuses everyone lets them
    get away with.

Think about it, what causes a Dev staff to "struggle." Undermanned. That's an old excuse they've been trumpeting that lie since MOP, its hard to believe one of the largest gaming companies in the world is always understaffed. Tech issues. No new major systems are being introduced so this doesn't apply. Lack of direction and vision - Bingo!
Funding, staff, and Covid are all just scapegoats for their incompetence

They have more funding than eso and ff14 put together. More staff than any mmorpg by more than double, and Covid is last years excuse as every other game company is putting out content no problem now. It’s full speed ahead except at Blizz, where they are so incompetent they are practically frozen

I'm not so sure about that FFXIV has increased their staff and Blizzard lost some people in the wow department iirc. I'm not sure we have current numbers for either.
You are welcome, Metzen. I hope you won't fuck up my underground expansion idea.

What you expect if their main source of info are usually people that don't even play PTR.

9.1 is shit cause it won't cure cancer.
