Bought new pre-built & laptop? Okay for the money spent?

Wanted a desktop and laptop to run WOW on. Are the below units decent? I know people hate pre-builts, but just wanted some feedback.

They're fine for playing WoW. But those prices are absolutely, egregiously high.

That Dell prebuilt is mostly junk. Proprietary motherboard form factor, Junk heat sink, junk heat sink in the graphics card, and proprietary power supply. That's why people generally hate prebuilts. That Dell is the exemplar

The laptop isn't that bad. The desktop is. I hate suggesting boutique builders. But at least they use components available on the market.

I cancelled the Order and bought this laptop below. I will save up for a desktop next. I wanted to get quality stuff

Any suggestion on a butique builder? First time browsing for a prebuild since GPU prices are crazy.
