Wasn't Ruby Sanctum in Wrath the first real bridge to the next expac considering it's Black Dragonflight assault and Twilight Dragon Halion boss etc?

For the Alliance, and for Azeroth!
Ny'alotha is related to the Void, but seemingly is not the Void itself. It's said to be a realm of the Old Gods, and that it disappeared when N'Zoth died, with him being the last of the living Old Gods of Azeroth. It was a realm that represents what Azeroth would have looked like if the Hour of Twilight would have fully happened, and it would have replaced our reality had we not stopped N'Zoth. Considering there are other Old Gods in the cosmos, Ny'alotha was only related to the Old Gods on Azeroth. The other realms seem to be related to those specific Old Gods, either created by them or connected to the Void or Ny'alotha.
This isn't quite unlike other beings we've seen anyway. The Other Side is Bwonsamdi and Mueh'zala's pocket dimension within the Shadowlands. Akazamzarak had his own pocket dimension. The Emerald Dream has different "layers" inside it, some of which we visit. The elemental Planes are all pocket dimensions created by Ra and Helya. The Halls of Valor and Helheim are pocket dimensions created by Helya, connected to the mortal realm and the Shadowlands. Mardum is a world in a pocket dimension. Void Storage is also said to be a pocket dimension created by the Ethereals.
Basically, a person/creature just has to have the knowledge and/or power to create another dimension, using whatever powers that fuel it. Since the Old Gods are created from the Void Lords, who reside in the Void, they have enough power to create their own realms, and have a shared realm/reality that is separate from the Void. It seems that beings created by the Azerothian Old Gods did go back to Ny'alotha when they "died" as you mentioned, but it seems that Ny'alotha is gone now, so the Old Gods would likely just return to the Void where they originally came from now.
3 hints to surviving MMO-C forums:
1.) If you have an opinion, someone will say that it is wrong
2.) If you have a source, there will be people who refuse to believe it
3.) If you use logic, it will be largely ignored
btw: Spires of Arak = Arakkoa.
You know SL is a bad expansion when people are already excited for the next expansion before the first patch even comes out.
There's far too much "foreshadowing" and "hinting" and mystery box bullshit, and far too little substance. There's nothing going on in the story. Just "Just wait and see!" behind every little reveal.
Some people seem to have it in their heads the void is afraid of her...I don't know why, she got bested by old man Genn in the broken isles...constantly had to run away from foes even after she was empowered by the jailer...and like you said she has already been killed multiple times.
I'd say she'd be back to nothing but with how the devs and fans love her she will probably find some way to retain her empowerment after the jailer is dealt with.
