Patch 9.1 Hotfix - All Eligible Legendaries Will Receive a Gem Socket

Patch 9.1 Hotfix - All Eligible Legendaries Will Receive a Gem Socket

We’re working on an issue with this: the preview of some items may not show the socket when you’re setting up your upgrade at the Runecarver, but the socket will be included on the final item. We’ll get the preview fixed as soon as possible.

    Thank you!

does this mean we do not need to recraft legendaries on all our chars, when the legendary is actually in a DOM-able slot ?

As much as people say they don’t read feedback this/classic really has gone above im and beyond when it comes to giving into the community.
All I ever wanted was the truth. Remember those words as you read the ones that follow. I never set out to topple my father's kingdom of lies from a sense of misplaced pride. I never wanted to bleed the species to its marrow, reaving half the galaxy clean of human life in this bitter crusade. I never desired any of this, though I know the reasons for which it must be done. But all I ever wanted was the truth.

while i will give them credit for listening, there is still the very accurate criticism that this even needed complaining about. did none of them think the player base would be outraged?

no. it means when you upgrade a pre-existing legendary, it will get a regular gem slot. if it's in a dom slot, you're still SOL.

Glad I spent 7k stygia yesterday on a socket for my legendary. Perfect.

    That is patently false.
Look at this simple search turning up 70+ BC boots with sockets.

cause the stygia item to add sockets doesn't work on shoulders and boots.

This is so stupid, why not make it available to all legendaries.

it is for people who spent stygia on the thing that adds a socket on a legendary that they either have to recraft due to the Domination sockets or if they're making a brand new one (like the covenant ones).

they did not listen, they got caught and act like they care, which is a big difference. no sane mind wouldve implemented such stupidity (time/money sink) in the first place other than finance dept , so no: they dont regret that they did it - they regret being caught.

And this is why people raising a fuss is important.
