If there's one thing I've noticed in 16 years of this game, sometimes when 1 or a few people die a fight becomes easier because you aren't wasting heals on them because they took dmg when they shouldn't have and you weren't able to heal someone that took planned dmg; it's easier to focus. But they literally need everyone up for final phase.
