Also interesting this is the biggest crowd for Euros final ever, men or womens. I still cant see club wise womens football getting to the point it rivals mens in viewership and stuff, but the international game is definitely worth watching.
Really good game, played with a good spirit until we started time wasting but that's expected. Well done both teams.

I think woman's football won't catch up to men's due to how far behind it started. I think one of the commentators said in a 2009 tournament they were lucky to be part time. There are things we can do to help though like getting the terrestrial channels screening it

    Well done both teams again

It'll never reach true parity in terms of commercialism at club level. But women's football is only going to get bigger, and as the investment continues, it'll only get better.

That's due to multiple factors in how little America gives a shit about men's football. Even at the youth level it's seen as more a women's sport, while the guys play American Football/Basketball etc.

Then their college system does absolutely nothing to support home grown talent vs the European academy system.

Excellent game, a lot of quality in those sides. The women’s game is literally a century behind the men’s though so obviously has a long way to go, but I think this shows it’s worth the investment because they’ve already come such a long way in a very short space of time.

As a gooner, I hoped Arteta was going to make Thomas Partey captain but he didn't, not sure why. Thomas Partey is the best player on Arsenal and he is irreplaceable, he deserves his own statute after he retires.

Should have really made a new thread, dunno why I didn't.

We want to keep this season here and update the post title, or lock this down and start afresh?

Not really bothered, we don't have the activity we used to but probably just best to make a new thread anyway.
