Final Fantasy FXIV is too Japanese

Not entirely sure what you mean. Can you see Asian motives and game style? Sure, but "too Japanese"? I fail to see anything which would make me feel like "yep, this is Japanese"

I'm currently playing FFXIV, but my problem with the game isn't that it's too Japanese.

My problem is that the world and characters are stereotypical cultural diarrhea and vomit put inside a blender. By far the worst world, lore and characters I've ever come across in any MMO.

The game has some great gameplay systems and fun bossfights though.
