This will just be more fuel for these lunatics. I do wish that the slightly less unhinged conservatives in the country who are worried about "censorship" would take it upon themselves to curb this bullshit within their own ranks, rather than forcing social media companies to do it.
These people are like the Palapatine. Every time you strike them down (or ban them from social media), they just get stronger (with their base).
We have to start realizing at some point they aren't the ones that need changing, their base is.

Only somewhat.
They only get elected because their base are vindictive, abusive extremists. While Trump himself may fall out of favor, that base isn't going to get less nasty, they're just going to find a new champion. Possibly one not as criminally fucking stupid as Trump, either.
They're proto-Nazis looking for their Hitler. Basically.
I don't believe that. The vast majority of the republican senators and reps are still kissing his ring and touting his bullshit. She's one of them. Getting banned is further confirming her status to them. Its making her a bigger and bigger deal. Even if he falls away, the shit he helped foment will go on without him.
Trump, Greene, et all (though despicable and horrible) are not the problem.....they are symptom. A significant portion of the American people are the problem. This country was founded on terrible things like racism, nationalism, selfishness, etc. We were sold that is was freedom and liberty, but its not. We are living a lie. This country is rotten at the roots and until we realize that, it will never be fixed.

Public figures (politicians, celebrities, etc.) who willingly push disinformation about public health should not only lose their platform but also be held criminally liable. It's the public health equivalent of encouraging a riot, or conspiring to commit a crime. By allowing these people these platforms they are directly causing harm to others.
And don't give me your BS whining about free speech. There are limits to every single freedom.
Both are the problem. It's a closed feedback loop between the crazy public figures and the crazy everyday people. The public figure crazies are constantly trying to one-up each other or even themselves to get more attention/fame/money, which gets the base foaming at the mouth even more, which the public figure crazies feed off of, and the cycle repeats itself.

The fact that its working means the problem lies with people eating it up.
You can't sell cat shit flavored lollipops unless there's people who want to eat them. So if that became a thing, the problem is with people who want that.

No one has been duped. No one.
Anyone that believes the bullshit about election fraud or that the virus is nothing, is doing so willingly. We have to stop putting blame on the opportunists milking these issues instead fo the people that willingly and knowingly disregard facts in favor of this stupidity.

Again, they choose to believe the misinformation. They aren't being duped. They see both sides of the info and choose the one that is bullshit. That is their fault. It is a choice to go with what they want to believe over what is fact. We have to stop not holding people responsible for choosing to be stupid.

Yeah nothing you said means they weren't duped provided they sincerely believe it to be true. And many of them do whole heartedly even though a lot of the information fall flat with even basic criticism. The fact that they were easily duped either through heir own willful ignorance or stupidity doesn't make that they weren't "duped" and it doesn't absolve them of responsibility. There's not some minimum level of complexity required to be "duped" in fact people get tricked by obvious shit all the time.
As an example I used to work retail. We got people all the time who thought that a scammer telling them the IRS or some company wanted them to pay in google play cards or target gift cards was legit. One lady had already given them almost $2000 in target cards before we told her she was "duped". Now to me that's the stupidest thing in the world to believe. First of all why would another company want payment in another company's gift cards? Hint for anyone who doesn't know: they wouldn't. Let alone the IRS. That by itself was 100% enough to convince anyone with a brain in their skulls or the ability to zip their own fly they were being tricked. Yet people fell for it all the time, just like Trump and his surrogates blatantly false bullshit. Living in chicago I probably got this at least 1-2 a week. Despite the fact that basic logic would tell you it's a complete scam people were "Duped" by this scam all the time. The fact that it could easily be determined to be a scam didn't absolve them of their responsibility and it didn't' mean they weren't duped. It just meant they were duped by a really dumb scam. There's nothing about that work that means you're not responsible for buying into the bullshit/getting tricked like you seem to think.
I don't think we disagree in sentiment. But you're really hung up on some weird semantics argument.

I feel like being duped implies the "dupee" is unaware. That's not the case here. Its like going to a magic show. One isn't being duped by the tricks, they know they aren't real and are just illusions. If one walks out there thinking they witnessed real magic, then they weren't duped, they're just an idiot and believing it was real is 100% solely on them.
I'm not giving a pass to the grifters and opportunists, they are terrible and I hope they literally and figuratively burn. But no one is blaming the actual tens of millions of ass hats slopping up the bullshit while knowing its bullshit.

To paraphrase what you're saying:
Selling people sewer water and telling them it's a "miracle cure" is duping people. You know your product will not give the customer what they want/believe it will provide.
Selling those same people copies of Mein Kampf because they're all Nazis and really want their own copy of Mein Kampf, that's not "duping", it's just supply answering demand.
These people aren't being sold on one thing and getting white supremacy instead. They're being sold white supremacy, and they're eager for it. Stopping someone from selling them white supremacist stuff won't lower their demand for more white supremacy, it'll just increase how desperate they are to get that white supremacy at any cost, as demand remains and supply dwindles, until someone else steps up to feed that demand.
MTG is to liberals as AOC is to conservatives. Except MGT is an actual idiot while conservatives whine about a caricature of AOC.

Wish she's stop spreading disinformation that's getting people killed, sure.
But any ill will is entirely predicated on her continued malicious conduct. As opposed to the reverse, where they actively try and justify their hatred for AoC, mocking her for "being a bartender" or a "socialist" or whatever. None of which land because they aren't negative things in the first place.
