- Christopher HitchensPopulists (and "national socialists") look at the supposedly secret deals that run the world "behind the scenes". Child's play. Except that childishness is sinister in adults.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Objectification
Stop asking me to explain basic terminology to you.
You have a very privileged life if someone makes a less than stellar written female character and its enough for you to look down upon them.
So where do sexy and armor thongs fall into this?
You can be someone's instrument regardless if you're sexy or not.
You can be denied autonomy regardless if you're sexy or not.
You can be inert regardless if you're sexy or not.
You can be disposable regardless if you're sexy or not.
You can have your boundaries violated regardless if you're sexy or not.
You can be a slave regardless if you're sexy or not.
Someone can not give a fuck what you think regardless if you're sexy or not.
I see a vast distinction between an attractive character and objectified character and there's no overlap.

This thread is a frightening peek into how different each side can see a subject, much like politics.
It still amazes me that people think wanting equality is an insult, to be derided and reduced to terms like "sjw". That in and of itself speaks volumes about a person.
Also, continually speaking in hyperbole doesn't help your case.
Nor does the caveman defense of "I don't see it that way... so"
Examples of "I once knew a girl who had a low cut top and and the guy said she led him on so therefore "these accusations must be false or at least doubted" are monty python levels of absurd.
Quite scary honestly lol.
That or the wave of "grab 'em by the pussy" has really fucking swelled.
Also wonder if this is why Lana left Hots.

I'm so outraged from this lawsuit against Blizzard I ended up unsubbing months ago.
Very good. I wonder if many others unsubbed as well. I was considering subbing to see the next patch, but after reading mmo-c’s home page I was like, nope. Not going to support such a fucking toxic company that treats women like second class citizens.
I have certain responsibilities at my work and let it be known that finding good physicians isn’t easy. Yet, I’ve had people fired on the spot for making sexist remarks to female co-workers.
success comes in the form of technical solutions to problems, not appeals to our emotional side
just saw this get posted on reddit. Looks like good ol' Bobby is quite good at the whole retaliatory firing thing https://latimesblogs.latimes.com/ent...litigator.html
There are probably people complaining about it, you can find people complaining about pretty much anything in the game. The reason that Q&A got highlighted was because of the response from the devs include J. Allen. It shows that he is very much part of this bro culture even if you disagree with the question that is not the way to respond to a customer who paid money to go your event.
It's telling that they think the complaint is too much skin showing and not the disparity in skin showing. Which is why people don't tend to make that complaint of FFXIV; there are plenty of women in actual armor, and plenty of men in the equivalent of boob-plate.
Then again, many of them are stuck in the bro culture that typified the Gamergate era just like Blizzard.
