What do you expect from new world?

The release of this game is close and I'm thinking to give it a try, is it a promising game? is it similar to wow?

It is a promising game in that it is fun and seems to have a lot of room for expansive gameplay systems.

Not at all similar to WOW unless you count generic questing. Virtually every MMO has that though. It's like saying something is similar to game X because it has combat.

Like 5 minutes on Youtube would reveal a totally different gameplay system than WoW.

I think it will be a 7/10 game that will be ok and nothing special.

It seems to be very barebones, there is pretty world and good modern UI, but the combat and questing are simplistic and PvP does not seem to be blowing anyone away either.

IMO, its biggest problem is that it started as one thing (pure hardcore PvP experience) and then suddenly did a 180 degrees turn into PvE somewhere midway which results in a watered down experience both ways. It has pretty graphics and potential faction PvP and areas control might actually turn out great, but that's about it?

First several months will be critical, that's when the usual initial honeymoon will start wearing out and then NW better have that glue to keep people in it, rather than them simply bailing and killing off the whole thing.
