I'm not buying D2 for many reasons. Characters having their skin covered up a bit is not one of said reasons. Who the fuck cares if a character shows skin or not. I can't care less even if it's a change made to a game I've played when it showed more skin.

The game is rated seven and up and with their Disney esque trailers is pretty clear what part of their demographic is.

Considering the card has existed for 6+ years and they also openly market a recent card as the: "First Transsexual character in Warcraft", it's not like the topic of sexuality is something they consider out of their league.

To me, I don't see censorship at all as long as stuff like this makes it in the game, but I'm sure there's some diehard out there that's arguing they added a loincloth to the model so it's literally unplayable now.

Good on the diablo team to stick to making a good game and listening to fans. Well, the two teams that is. Sicne D2R is Vicarious Visions. I wonder what they're gonna do after though. There's no more games to remaster after D2 right? So the classic games team they made in 2015 and VV won't have any jobs to do. D2 is probably the best game of all time in my opinion and perfect in almost every way. The art is very much a part of that, and I don't want to see that diminished

This. A game just not being a 10/10 doesn't mean it was a scam. Usually it's people expecting WAY more than the devs say/show and interpret stuff different than what is said on purpose.
Games like Pokemon or No Man's Sky for example were exactly what i expected them to be (didn't preorder NMS and only bought it way later). Pokemon just being Pokemon and No Man's Sky being a disaster at launch at obvious since they NEVER let ANYONE play before launch. They've always shown pre-made stuff and it was obvious it wouldn't be good.
Never had problems with preordering, because i preorder when i see actual gameplay, rather than pretty render trailers. And how were MGSV and Bioshock infinite scams? I thought they were pretty well received? I remember people praising atleast Bioshock Infinite everywhere when it released.

To be fair, with No man's sky they blatantly advertised things that were not in the final release. Multiplayer wasn't ingame on release despite being advertised multiple times and even being on the physical box cover. (Though it was covered up with a sticker)

While that may be true, my faith is so low in blizzard at this point that I would not be surprised if they found another way to fuck up a remake.

So yeah, the general theme is they tried to hard to age/weather the characters. All the D2 heroes besides the Necro have a very youthful appearance, you'd put them all in their 20's or 30's but the remake models all look like they are tired worn down 50 year olds.

Well that makes sense doesn't it? They just wanted the updated characters to reflect the primary demographic that's interested in D2.
