It really shouldn't have to be pointed out that partying at conventions is normal and that hooking up at a party is more than common. The problem is that the people who are holding these parties are inviting co-workers that work beneath them to said party, putting moves on them, and then (per the fucking lawsuit) retaliate against said employees when they deny the advances. If it has to be explained to you why that's a bad thing then you're just too stupid for the conversation.

Only thing positive out of this new mess is that Afrasiabi did indeed get fired for sexual harassment.

And yet most of the other people didn't. The only reason Afrasiabi got fired was because the information was leaked out of Blizzard. It's called a PR scam, they're trying to be like "but we did take action!" to try and rebuild trust, but they aren't actually being upfront with you; hence a PR scam.
