Sex jokes on their own are fine by me.

That said, they have become inappropriate in an office environment or at corporate functions, even conventions. Maybe employment is better for that, maybe not. I tend to think it is better if only because it's so easy for that sort of thing to get out of hand. Most of my work has been in professional IT shops and the norms in many of them have changed a lot over the last 10 years or so.

Which I find esepcially hillarious because its usually the people that want to break all forms of binaries that literally turn every argument or political stance into a pure black or white/right or wrong binary with no space in between.

From a strictly political point of view, few countries have the partisan divide that the US enjoys. Coalition governments and generally more smeared political allegiances are commonplace elsewhere, but whether or not that makes for a more effective form of governance is a matter for debate. As for gaming and culture war wedge issues in particular; yes, I agree with you. Exhausting, isn't it?

The whole Cosby thing is so funny. These pictures have been online for years and nobody cared. They were taken before the world knew that Bill Cosby was a serial rapist. This is nothing but a hit job.
Why is Kotaku not releasing all the other pictures that they have? Because that wouldn’t fit the narrative that they are trying to create. It’s disgusting.Don’t fall for it.

Ooof, incorrect. 2005 - 2006 he was already all over the news, including People Magazine article, etc, about the allegations, settlements, etc. THATS when he stopped being America's dad, not 2014.

With some quick online searching, you can find multiple timelines / articles that confirm this. So in 2013, to say that Cosby was a "Sweater" reference, is absolute BS.

Demanding worker control over hiring practices, HR and "other company processes," and making everyone's pay rate public; these are socialist demands.

Nice burner. It's pure conjecture. You'll believe what you want to believe, but unless Afrasiabi and the gang come out and say it was a reference to Cosby's sordid activities, you'll never know. Right now there's enough deniability and evidence to the contrary to support it being a hilariously poor-timed coincidence.

The OMG COSBY RAPE SUITE conversation is a distraction from the ongoing, demonstrably valid issue facing the company today.

Oof incorrect, the story didnt blow up until 2014. MOST people learned about it at that time, thats why it..... blew up. lmfao in 2013 cosby was doing shows, making appearances, giving talks. all of it. he was not cancelled. most people had no idea.

The more I hear about the Blizzard lawsuit the more I think this is just a power play. And, I have to say it, I think that when...not if...Blizz caves in it will truly be the end of WoW...maybe I really should start looking into Brave New World.

What difference does it make? The existence of the Cosby Suite is pointless either way.

It makes no difference to the confirmation that sexual harassment was an issue at Blizzard and it's something that needs to be sorted.

Genuine question. What is the downside of ensuring a more positive workplace? That's the ultimate goal.

My favorite conspiracy about Democrats is assuming they have the competence, let alone the willpower, to actually accomplish any of the things conservatives are scared of.

god it really is a amazing how right wingers blame capitalism doing what capitalism does on some "socialist" plot to silence them. like I'm sorry dude social media platforms have ads to sell and advertising agencies (along with most of society) don't care to pander to people who think COVID vaccines make you gay or whatever.

Nothing funnier than calling something a conspiracy and thinking that resolves the issue.

That's kinda my point. People create conspiracy theories because it makes them feel better.

EG. Blame China for COVID because it's easier than accepting responsibility for not stemming the spread in a home country sooner.

Has this whole thing turned into a vast right-wing conspiracy yet?
