I am beginning to see why you have a problem with actions taken against toxicity and why you are so afraid of a game where toxicity has no place. I believe it is my ability to type the words properly rather then my ability to read that you keep attacking. For one so focused on proper actions you seem to be equating disagreeing with as not understanding. Weird right? Oh wait that must be another stroke.

Bro, if you're emotionally damaged by an ingame-macro you need a therapist and stop playing MMOs.

Hear hear. Imagine people like that going out in real life, interacting with real people.

There's a big difference between disagreeing, and believing that your own opinion is the only correct one... so that everyone who doesn't agree is automatically bad. That's what I call toxic behavior on a level far worse than any virtual spitting.

The fact that you and others feel like they NEED to express this juvenile behavior and harass others over a mount means YOU have to seek a therapist and stop playing MMOs.

You're just making up that this guy participated in that kind of behavior at all lol. Your projection is not reality. Maybe you should go outside.

Nice strawman. Nobody said you "need" to do it. But treating it as some sort of terrible offense that needs purging of the emote for all people on the planet is pathetic.

ive played classic since release a few years ago and now play TBC. the only place i have ever seen the /spit emote is in BG's, where i am also t-bagged and camped whenever possible.
i chuckle whenever i see it, as i find it silly at its most threatening.

people today are TOO sensitive. paperskin kiddies is what i call them. they tend to be between 15-35 in age. they are ruining the world. cream no longer rises to the top. the smartest and hardest working are stuck pandering to the lazy, ignorant and needy.

we are no longer a country of winners, but whiners. we focus on surviving so we can spend the night on tiktok and bullying people who dont agree with our shallow, uneducated and small view points.

    this is 2021...

Man, you're crazy. And I mean it. Don't be too sensitive about it, though.

I mean if blizzard really wants to fight toxicity they disable chat outside of guilds and friends and instance groups. That will cut out like 70% of it right there and might be where we are going.

Because they removed an emote that wasn't of any practical use in your logic the next steps lead to the removal of "open" chat in general? Sounds like a really smart assessment of the situation from your side. Really.

You don't get to decide that, and going by this logic no emote is of any practical use.
Don't try weasel out this removal as "it wasn't of any use anyway". That's just making up excuses.

Just because some pathetic RL losers whose miserable lives find the tiniest bit of joy in spitting on somebody ingame with the attempt to somehow trigger them (I'm not saying that you are) do think that this is a really useful emote doesn't make it in fact useful.

Ganking? No problem! Camping? Okay! Massacre questhubs on low level zones? That`s the spirit! /spit? Nooo that is too much...

I'm curious why the "nuke it" option was the option Blizzard went with instead of, say, giving players the ability to filter out emotes they don't like. Filtering is more consistent with the preexisting player experience than "nuke it" for all. One has been able to ignore players since the game came out. One is also able to completely leave a channel. (I was rarely in Trade for the last 3 to 4 years I played the game.) One can choose to ignore guild invites. And, curiously, for all the years the game has been out, one has never been able to ignore emotes. I've always found that strange, even back in 2007 when I first started playing.

And I told you, you need to ask those that it's upsetting why it is. You know damned well why it's problematic though. It's toxic. It didn't just become toxic, it always has been.

It has only been removed from the TBC-C PTR. Live TBC-C and Retail have not had it removed yet. There is no need to be overly dramatic by saying it is the entire planet when it is still on a test realm currently. Unless of course you are being overly sensitive to a trivial emote...
