Conduits Upgrades Based on Specialization, Patch 9.1 Hotfixes - August 13, 2021

Upcoming Hotfix - Conduits Upgrades Based on Specialization

    Hello everyone

You bring up a valid point about the conduit upgrade items not being specialization specific. It can be frustrating when you get a conduit for a spec that you may never use.

To address this, we’re working on a change that will go live with next week’s restarts that will allow Soultwining Crescent and Death-Bound Shard to grant conduits based on your current specialization instead of by class. In order to receive the conduits of the spec of your preference, you will need to switch your specialization fully, changing Loot Specialization won’t work.

In addition to this change, we’re increasing the drop rate of Death-Bound Shard when completing Adamant Vaults in Torghast, Tower of the Damned.

    Thank you for your feedback!

    • Some leather and mail covenant armor should now show up properly on the Kyrian and Necrolord Renown Quartermasters with the default filters set.

    What a great change!

Just... obvious, often given feedback upon since the launch and 8 1/2 months too late.

At least we are now in the part of the expansion where feedback is acted upon and they drip feed us qol stuff, covenant ripcord next!

Yeah guys, thanks for the feedback! Blizzard would have had no idea about this terrible little piece of game design otherwise.

How about having soulbinds per specs too ?

So tired of Mikanikos being best for every single spec and only be able to play it on one because of stupid conduit energy...

It took 8 months to fix that problem? Did it really?

can't wait to see all the people who totally aren't addicted who think this is only positive even though this has been an issue for 262 days.

    Shows that they're listening.

To feedback given 9 months ago during the supposed testing phase..........

got 4 conduits left...lucky me when i hit t6 and brought the upgrades, 90% of it went into endurance/finese .

I know they say thank you for the feedback, but wasn't this what we said in s1....

And Conduits shouldn’t even be a thing.

Blizzard at it again - listening to feedback given, and responding - shame it was 9months after said feedback was being given to them...

Soo the conduits/soulbinds still don't switch when you change spec? What a shitheap.

It's fine that the game is getting better and better each week. The change is solid.

But it's kinda sad that they're reacting now for the feedback that have been with us for a few months.

They could have done this way earlier, the reason they didn't is simple. They are ashamed of making it so obvious that the underlying code for loot spec and conduits is complete garbage. Why doesn't loot specialization cover this problem? Throw away this shitty spaghetti abomination of a code and use a new engine!

    changing Loot Specialization won’t work
So conduits aren't considered loot? what is this even.

They create unfun system and then drip fed "solutions" for said system. Have people not learned this already? They create problem, then make solution and are praised for some reason.

    No, fuck them.

So the best would be actually playing in the late patches instead of in the beginning.

Same case was in the BFA with the corruptions.

Go months without any meaningful updates, fixes or changes people been asking for, they all of a sudden dirt gets kicked up and shade thrown. Then we get update after update very regular. I guess they got spooked and actually feel the need to pull the finger out for a few weeks now before returning back to doing nothing.

Reminds me of a break up/time out. Like when during the relationship you become lazy, unwilling to do anything, not as fun anymore to be around. You then take time apart or move on and all of a sudden you change for a few months and become a ball of lovable energy.

Even these changes happening seem to be nothing more than a drip feed designed to get people running after that carrot on a stick a little longer it's pathetic to see really is.

If you look around - most people are saying just that - create a problem then make a "content patch" to fix it ever since BfA started. Most people criticize them about how they had this feedback from since the launch. Stop pretending that everyone is praising them. Most are not.
