    Bellular analyses WoW's health.

Now before everyone breaks out the pitchforks, it should be noted that though these numbers are indeed pathetic, it does miss a frame of reference as it lacks comparable numbers from previous expansions

all this is is estimations of players at the end game, all with 3rd party data that does not automatically update.

OMG he's so smart with numbers he should be game director.

PS. Can't wait for his game.

I mean WoW is trash and dying that much is obvious to anyone. But this guy also failed to develop a game that I want to say was crowd funded? He really doesnt have a leg to stand on when it comes to criticism.

Pot calling the kettle black and whatnot.

Made dev logs about it and everything.

Less than optimal when the business model relies on monthly subscriptions.

It's ok, let Bobby worry about $$, he's much better at it than you ever will be.

Reality is WoW is still making shitton of money and you can be sure once new expansion hits there will be again millions of people jumping on it just from hype alone.

Now, it does not mean all is flowery, WoW is clearly in a slump now. But all in all it's still a gigantic money maker with unfair advantage of commanding decades old customer base that gets back to it almost religiously from time to time.
All my ignores are permanently filtered out and invisible to me. Responding to my posts with nonsense or insults is pointless, you're likely already invisible and if not - 3 clicks away. One ignore is much better than 3 pages of trolling.

How are you posting from 2011? Wow has not relied on consistent monthly subs for the better part of a decade. They rely on expansion box sales, MTX, and the swell of subs from patches/expansion releases.

And somehow they managed last 16 years. This may be news for some people, but during early WoW people often quit to next patch as well. First 5 years it was offset by stream of new players, but cycle started to show during Cata.

In general talking about subs seems pointless. It's Blizzard problem, not ours. Also they have all data and can do serious comparison of expac health, doesn't really this joke of a video.

The $15/mo is more of a relic of the past at this point. Big bucks come from box sales / patch releases.

Wouldn't a DLC business model fit better then? Seems like the subscription hurdle is just getting in the way of the DLC sales.

    1) Bellular has no insight into sub numbers, these graphs are one and all "estimations" he pulled out of his ass.

    2) Bellular has always made lots of money by joining whichever drama train came through the village. It's his entire shtick. Just look at his video titles and you will realize that he makes money off of repeating the opinions of unhappy people back to them so they feel validated. WoW always had a large unhappy playerbase and Bellular is playing their mouthpiece.

    3) He is an arrogant jackass, that pretends to know about game development because he wants to make a game (which he failed to do for now), so he bashes people that have created multi-billion dollar companies and AAA titles, while in truth he has no clue.

    4) He was clearly paid off by other companies to do this bashing. Amazon has given millions to streamers to promote their stuff, do you really think they wouldn't give money to someone that has already shown more then willing to bash WoW for some extra bashing?

In short: Bellular is about the least trustworthy source you can possibly have. If you need someone to make your opinion for you, that is fine, but stop pretending like this is the gospel of truth.

Literally who cares about this guy? He's like the Fox News of Warcraft content creation, Blizzard dumped on him back in Legion when he wanted to voice act every single quest in WoW and profit off it and he's been salty at them ever since.

It surprises me that WoW still performed bad during a freaking pandemic.

His audience would shrivel without WoW so for him to have some kind of vested interest in the game dying seems a bit suicidal.

As much as I hate twitch memes.. the whole copium thing does have a rather accurate ring to it..
MMO-C should be glad that the British Empire is no more, because they'd want a piece of all the copium trade here.
Angry players come to the forums to complain about the game... but what loser only comes to the forums to complain about the forums and its users?
Felating Blizzard too eagerly may lead to oxygen deficiency and worst case asphyxiation. Long-term effects range from delusions up to cerebral necrosis.

When you earn so much €€€ from bashing someone or something... what a way to make a living.

He is just using the same method as current main stream media. Pulls out some numbers or informations that nobody can confirm, make a story out of them and earn BIG BUCKS.

And no, I am not defending blizz, not even close. Its just fact that there is no way annyone but blizz knows the real numbers. And I can't watch someone earn money based on bunch of BS, even if its close to the truth... Journalism has to represent TRUTH to the public, not half truths or lies. Bellular is not journalist but sure acts like one.

Not if his audience loves to see WoW die. Just look at this forum. There are people here who haven't played the game in years and still they come here to share their uninformed opinion.

Or he could just be trying to get whatever numbers he can get now. Even if WoW dies if he played his cards right he should be good money wise, so he really doesn't need to care if WoW lives or not. Or he could just move onto a different MMO and start the same cycle with that too.
