I bought it for my little brother but the game had zero explanation and you could only play online, so you wouldn't know what the f*ck to do. That made it totally unplayable. A small introduction / training would've worked wonders.
It does have offline play with bots, though?

Dungeon Keeper 1&2, of course not by Egostatic Farts, but someone who'd actually make a playable, non pay2win ridden game. Maybe the developers who made WFTO, they have some experience about the genre now.

They added a little bit of that in the DLCs, but not nearly enough

But damn, Battletech had such an amazing story telling. I loved it and any game that is going to be similar to it, is going to be awesome.
    I'm really craving Mech-Commander/Battletech games.
Hell... when I imagine Batteltech as an RTS, I'm getting goosebumps.

considering that it doesn't even look "all that good" and the relative success it had, I wonder why no one is doing these games. It should be relatively cheap compared to AAA games to make.
    Is the license that expensive?

That reminds me... Metal Fatigue would make a great remaster/remake as well.
If done properly with additions and improvements in mind of course, not just a 1:1 remake with better models.
The only and biggest weakness Battletech had were the generic missions. Too bad, that the DLCs didn't correct this. "Here fight a lance, then go fight another lance". Every. Fucking Time. Still a great game, and i'm sad there won't be a Battletech 2 in the foreseeable future.

Not as much of a fan, but the artstyle is pretty timeless in heroes 3 (of MM). I'm not sure i'd like to see it remastered with thoroughly modern graphics, maybe an overhaul to update the quality of the artstyle to new monitors etc but not a complete rethinking/remaster.

First of all, they'd have to get rid of the tank controls. That would in turn remove any semblance of difficulty in Croc. The levels also weren't really designed in a manner that would make much sense in a modern release.

At that point it's practically a RE:2/3 style remake rather than a remaster. I'd still welcome it though.
I agree with that. Or a reboot... As long as that reboot still keep the Moses crocodile being raised by furballs, going level to level platforming with running, jumping, tail spinning and groundpounding, fighting mean imp-frog thingies with impecable singing voices who kidnapped the furballs in the Year of the Electric Handmixer.

Also what OP i just read mentioned.

DA: O, absolutely yes! i've replayed the Original and all Expansions with DLCs so much times, i would play a remaster of all that content all over again so many times.

That game is a timeless gem.

How many large multiplayer combat games are there where you can choose between flying a plane, driving a jeep, or even steering the aircraft carrier that players are taking off from while also being able to go onshore as an individual soldier, defend with antiaircraft guns, pilot the submarine, and fire the big guns on the battleship during a coastal invasion to cover your guys. I laughed my ass off more in this game than any other because of all the creative possibilities that players figured out in a game with this many things to do.
Ahhh those times when EA games weren't a cash shop with a built in game, mohaa deserves a remaster too

TBF the Elite Mod does a pretty good job of keeping the game up to date.
