Ion's real name is Ian Hazzokistas. And if he needs someone to hold him in check then he's unfit to be the head of the team. He's assigned to the position. George Lucas took it for himself. And 5, a 6 only carries his name as executive producer, other people did most of the heavy lifting.

They are implementing the right changes but too late IMO. I won't be coming back, even when 9.1.5 launches. Maybe if new content launches in 9.2 I'll reconsider.

Take the maw skip on alts thing for one. That should have been a day ONE implementation, or at least 9.05 or earlier (right after launch, basically). I went through that maw quest on over a dozen characters and while it only took 30ish minutes, it was still a boring slog. It got slightly better when I got the maw mount back in February, but by then I'd already gotten most of my alts through the Maw so it was pointless for the intro quests and I took a 4 month hiatus after that.

At this point I just can't justify logging in, so I canceled my sub and may reconsider when 9.2 comes out to see more content. I came back for 9.1, did the content and left.

Problem 9.1.5 is a lack of content, which means we have been stuck on "I will never serve" for 6 months.

Credit where credit is due. I'm pleased Bliz has made the decision to start adding more customization options to the game again and most of all happy they are giving Void Elves the blonds and white hair colors that players needed to complete their High Elves. Honestly this is the single most desired thing I have wanted for the past 15 years. And to all the anti High Elf players out there...get fucked. That said, this might have saved the game for me a few years back, but I think this like many others are saying is too little too late. At this point the only thing I can think of that would have me come back would be player housing. Even if it were just Azeroth Garrisons (because as unpopular as they were, I LOVED Garrisions). Anyway, big with for High Elf players still playing, grats guys only took Bliz 15+ years.

Now you have an excuse to Redeem Sylvanas every week for the next 6 months!

I happen to know that many of these changes have been in the works since before 9.1 launched. They typically do major QoL changes in .5 patches. I'm sure the pressure may have expedited some of these things or influenced others, but as a whole this isn't a knee jerk response to the investigation.

I would have much rather had 10.0 instead of 9.1.5

That would have made me resub for sure.

Their description of the flaws with the conduit energy system perfectly reflect not only that system but covenants as a whole.
No that is not at all what the text says my dude....they are not in any way saying the playernumber is why it wouldn't work, how did you attach that far?

Imagine knowing so little about game Dev that you think they just threw this all together last minute.

Reminder bowling 9.1 took, but nah suddenly they are super duper fast developers.

And again, what they did here is the same MO they have employed the last several expansions. They make things easier as the expansion goes on with each patch. "puilling the ripcord" would have removed the system entirely. Remember the changes to the artifact weapons,. They made it so you didn't have to re-grind things and gave free level ups. Ditto for Azerite Power in BFA. They already got everyone through the system as originally intended once then made it easer for everyone to get to max.

Anyone knowing their MO knew that they would be eventually making things easier later in the expansion fort catch up purposes the day it released. Players are just spinning Ion's words it so they can say they were right.

Funny, I'm an IT specialist for application development. Guess what?

    Cool.
    Who the fuck cares?
    IT, not game development.

No, it's Ion. Ion is, in fact, a name people have.

Eeek, those squinting eyes for Nightborne really hits home just how awful the player model was in its original iteration...

Never the less this is too little and wayyyyy too late. This is nothing but a tactic to pull back players that have left cause the game is too boring or cause players have seen that Blizzard is nothing but a bunch of ass grabbers and treat their workers like trash.

My mistake. Then replace Ian with Ion, the sentiment is the same even if the name was wrong.
