They're probably parents themselves. How dare you, a probably childless person, tell parents of children that they shouldn't have significant influence over the education of others just because they believe in baseless, insane conspiracy theories.

Just because how things used to be, does not mean it's ideal or good. We used to have slavery. Bloodletting. No electricity, no plumbing. Crusades. etc..
If you are going to argue in favor of something, do a little better than "that's just how it used to be".

I'm not arguing in favor of it. I am arguing in favor of free lunch for all students.
The dude I quoted literally asked how kids can get food if it's not free. It was not a good faith question, so I didn't respond with a good faith answer.
