It could have never happened because according to the writers "vengeance is so bad" and even justice doesn't even exist.

This so simplistic mindset and lack of nuance is one of the greatest flaws that has been plaguing WoW's storyline for the last expansions.

It's so obvious and cringeworthy that Sylvanas will never face any real retribution or justice for her countless crimes.

Because having an OP writer’s pet being a centrepiece of lore and basically “main character” of the game damages the very fabric of WoW storytelling and leaves all other parts of the fan base unsatisfied.

Yeah I've been starting to think this too. Sadly the reason why we haven't seen him in SL is probably so redeemed sylv can save him and they can go on being whatever.

If they'd brought him back sooner he'd probably have been offed as a dungeon/raid boss already.

Remember when we were all "orc tired" because of Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor? I miss those days.

Never fucken thought that "orc fatigue" days would look like sweet memories when compared to this product of incessant simping and corporate stupidity.

Someone else has been saying that "why would you want focus on your race, look what it does" and I have to agree.

Orcs got a lot of focus, and the race went from noble savages who were perhaps one of the more interesting takes on orcs in fantasy, to possibly being the worse since its proven they'll happily jump to genocide time and time again as long as thrall's not in charge.

Any attention the night elves get is to pretty much kick them in the teeth, while plot lines their fans would have liked (Illidan/Tyrande/Malfurio meet up, Aszhara or well, naga in general, NE's rarely seem to interact with naga) are wrapped up without them.

Now we have Forsaken and especially Sylvannas focus, and she's become a completely unlikeable character.

You mean like Anduin? We will (hopefully) leave the screecher behind for good after SL, whereas we will all have to ensure Our Treasure and his shameless Suedom for who knows how many more expansions.
If the Janitor managed to pwn Azeroth:

That is called strategy, which Sylvannas pulled off splendidly.

*Because plot demanded for everybody to suddenly become an imbecile.

For Saurfang to buy into her bullshit 14 words + Libensraum spiel.

For Alliance to let Anduin handle military deployment.

For night elves to suddenly forget the lay of their own land.

Amazing strategy that only requires for all of your enemies to be morons... Works only for writers pets though, before using consult with your local Blizzard office.

Yes, definitely. Anduin is the same shit. Only problem that he also does nothing for the Alliance, Danuser had fucken decency to let her rake in some victories before deatching his Sue from the faction.

Golden is far less "patriotic" so we will have to drag that dead weight of a priesto-paladino-DK for who knows how long.

I wish so, too. But, they're so caught up in their progressiveness that they can't tell a good story from a bad one.
I'm tempted to apply for a moderator position, just so i can go moderator on your asses.

Imo, to have at least some form of closure, the Kaldorei should give the Horde an ultimatum. Depart from Night Elf lands and never return, or be hunted down. These lands include Darkshore, Ashenvale, Mount Hyjal and Moonglade. I'm sure the mages and druids could construct some natural/magical barrier between Ashenvale and the Barrens/Azshara, to prevent any trespassing. Malfurion should also kick the Tauren and Trolls out of the Cenarion Circle. Letting them join was dumb decision to begin with.

However, knowing Blizzard, the Horde will be invading Ashenvale again in 3-5 years. And they again will get away with it scot free.
I feel very deeply conflicted regarding this scenario. Whether you personally like Tyrande or not - the situation she was thrust into was very...bizarre and poor story-telling, and is unsatisfying to both Alliance and Horde players alike.

On one hand, I am glad that Blizzard did not go down the route of the permanently hurt and angry woman seeking revenge and alienating all her friends and allies, as was the case with Jaina Proudmoore, Maiev Shadowsong, Sky Admiral Rogers, the three Windrunner sisters, etc.

On the other hand...this ending is not exactly satisfying either. So Tyrande is suddenly happy and smiling now? At the Horde and at Elune? After her goddess sent her people's souls to her sister, and inadvertently to the Maw? What does that even mean? Does that not still mean that most of the night elves are still extinct in Azeroth in either case, and without a proper capital (Hyjal seems to be temporary, they were living in tents not far from the inn on Nordrassil).
"Always you speak. Never do you listen! You ignore the lessons of Pandaria! You see, there is balance in all things. Wisdom etched in our very fur: Black and white. Darkness and light. When the last emperor hid our land from the rest of the world, he also preserved...our ancient enemy, the mantid. So it is with your Alliance and your Horde. They are not strong despite one another; they are strong BECAUSE of one another. You mistake your greatest strength for weakness. Do you see this?"

Blizzard's "The victim must not seek vengeance/justice for what is done to them" story spiel they put Tyrande, Jaina and Genn on really shows how their company thinks, doesn't it?

Seems worthwhile to me. Maybe the Night Elves would've been forced to be more proactive at that point. Losing a major leader, having to step up, seeing that one of their greatest heroes was willing to die in order to bring them justice... it would've been a very surprising and cool move.

Got unfairly laid off/fired? Be a bigger man! Move on and find new job or whatever… Dont blame us! So what if we just robbed you of your livelihood?

Got insulted, feel like Blizzard treating you not as a fan but like crap? Be a bigger man! Move on, they didnt meant to repeatedly insult you, it was all fun and games… They wuz tricked… maybe. So what if they do it every time?

Got molested, abused by the colleagues? Be a bigger man… eh… woman! Move on or something, forgive them, they were drunk and what not. Boys be boys. And snitching is bad, actually you should be ashamed of yourself. So what if they viciously abused their company positions to abuse you?

Yeah… sounds fucked up if you ask me. And game ALWAYS tried to tell the “just move on” story. (If you are Alliance, Horde is allowed to be vicious and vindictive.)

I wouldn't say the Horde is really better off.

Even Horde players are told to be the bigger person and allow the radical elements within their compan.... faction to just be free because they were tricked or sorry.

Well, its no skin off their backs, really. Some leadership changes but its just lip service anyway, nobody will suddenly change how they did business for years.

Because having the entire storyline revolve around her is growing really tiresome by now.

The “Dumb everybody else down to make Sylvanas seem smart”-routine is past its sell-by date as well.
