Patch 9.2 Encrypted Build
An encrypted Patch 9.2.0.40958 went live on the Vendor CDN today, meaning we'll likely see it on the PTR in the near future.

Patch 9.1.5 Hotfixes - November 5, 2021

Dungeons and Raids

• Tomb of Sargeras
  
  • Fixed an issue that would prevent progress to Kil'Jaeden after defeating Fallen Avatar too quickly.
    

Items and Rewards

• Several Shadowlands on-use trinkets with cooldowns greater than 2 minutes have been updated to have their cooldowns reset when a raid boss encounter ends.
  
• Traveler's Anima Cache can no longer be consumed by players who have not yet selected a Covenant causing the anima to be sent into the ether.

Quests

• The level requirement to skip the Maw introduction is now 50 (was 48).
  
  • Developers’ note: We made this change to the level requirement because characters who skipped the Maw introduction at level 48 would end up being a level behind the Bastion introduction quest level requirements, thus leaving them in an awkward state of where to go next.

What? It's a good thing. we'll get a PTR sooner rather than later, but I'm not naïve as to how convenient the timing is.

9.2 …. its really time.

if i were blizz, to save the last remaining retail players (and these are really not many now, you can clearly see this by using wow rest api and specific analytics and sites), i would bring 9.2 on stage as soon as possible.

ofc they need quality this time, another 9.1 would be a fiasko. but if i were blizz, i would somewhat „split“ 9.2 and bring something before xmas. just imagine the player numbers after 2-3 xmas holiday weeks with 9.1.5 content. especially under the context of bored xmas holiday players and „hey there was this new amazon mmo and something in ff14“. i never thought the next „wow killer“ would be blizz themselfes.

otherwise this will not end well…

yes, its possible. companies and their marketing/PR/management do that type of things. at least my ex-company did.

but in the end, it doesnt matter. they have to prevent customers from mass leaving and quickly get some of them back. and they will not achieve this, by quick done cheap shit 9.2 content, via recycling, cutted content and low quality. so, its tough for them. they need good stuff and they need it fast. since good stuff takes time, its a hard scenario for them.

but in the end, it doesnt matter what they do now, marketing wise. many ppls already left and if they not get something done (hype-able content), many more will follow. so, marketing or not, in the end they quickly need content. with quality. or xmas holidays will become the new wow killer.

anyway this will be a tough race for the wow team.
