So...we went from, "Ukrainians are basically Russians, that's why it's taking us five months to complete a 3-day operation!"
to
"HOLY SHIT MUTANT URKAINIANS ARE KILLING US"
I mean, they jumped the shark long, long ago with their hilarious excuses.
Last I saw the manchild with the shitty beard in charge of CHECHNYA was talking about being ready to destroy western militaries and like...has homeboy even left CHECHNYA? Last I saw he was staging photo-ops within CHECHNYA but pretending they were taken in Ukraine. Oh, and one of his top lieutenants or something got blown up while bragging about a successful operation on a livestream while walking back.
Edit because I suck at geography.

Do you mean Kadyrov? Because he's in charge of Chechnya, and Serbia is a separate country from Russia.
Also, I detest this biolabs conspiracy so much, because it's the one hook that got into my mother, likely due to her working as a cleaning lady in a hospital during the pandemic. Also, because I possess a level of education in relevant fields needed to tell it's bullshit from a scientific point of view.

That would be illegal. While there are countries that can deprive someone of nationality, it is only due to disloyalty, treason, national security or involvement in terrorism, of which everyone should be presumed innocent. A law that would allow to issue such an ultimatum would be necessarily discriminatory, since no one should be required to profess absolute loyalty to a country that allows double citizenship in the first place. If anything, you would be proving those idiots that scream "Russophobia!" at everything absolutely right.
Russophobia, lol.
More like fuck Russia and everything it stands for. And I agree, being a citizen of a hostile, foreign state is a big no-no. Choose your side, or go home.
That was not, however, the main point I was making, merely an aside.
And if they, the people who often leave Russia in the first place due to political disagreements, refuse, what would you propose you do to them? Put them in, let's say, internment camps?
Citizenship by itself means very little in this regard. It's no signifier of loyalty and allegiance. Which is why to deprive of it in the first place is just petty and cruel, unless the deprived is clearly a threat, and honestly, I personally think even then, as for threats there are correction facilities.

I disagree with that.
Holding Russian citizenship isn't synonymous with endorsing Russian policies. Some of the most effective dissidents in countries like Iran, China, Saudi Arabia and such are those who hold dual citizenships in Western countries that status gives them some degree of political protection (and exit route) that local only dissidents lack.
We have a Russian friend here in Spain, she lives here with her mother (brought her out about 3 years ago), she's ethnic Tatar and no fan of Putin or Russia as is today, but she's nowhere near her settled status, let alone her Spanish citizenship, nor is she eligible for refugee status as she cannot in any meaningful way demonstrate that she is somehow being persecuted in Russia.
She owns and runs the only Russian restaurant in Madrid, demanding her to renounce her Russian citizenship without being granted a Spanish one would also leave her effectively stateless, and allowing Russians to skip the line for citizenship or settled status wouldn't be politically sellable these days.
I'm a US/Spanish dual citizen (used be US/British), got my Spanish citizenship a few years ago. My US citizen status is not recognized by the Spanish government, but nevertheless I would be ineligible for a security clearance (or any job that would require one) in either country.

Myeah, agreed, but the russians are more like the Valhallans. Any case it was more an idea like, in the stories of the russians the Ukrainians are growing until they're these hulking beasts that just won't die, like space marines. (I'd get worried when they start talking about these walking coffins with miniguns.... XD)
