At least two dead after Russian missiles land in NATO state Poland on Ukraine border

Two people have been killed in Poland after two stray Russian rockets landed near the border with Ukraine.

The rockets landed in the NATO state following Russia's mass bombardment of Ukrainian cities earlier today, which saw over 100 rockets launched.

According to the AP news agency, a senior US intelligence official said that the missiles were of Russian origin.

Poland's Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, has convened the Committee of the Council of Ministers for National Security and Defense Affairs "as a matter of urgency", government spokesman Piotr Müller confirmed, with local news sites claiming this is likely the result of the explosions.

The rockets fell in the town of Przewodów, hitting grain dryers. The police, prosecutor's office and the army are reportedly already on the site.

Meanwhile, Polish Armed Forces are reportedly on "high alert".

The attack could prompt Poland to trigger NATO's Article 5 provisions, calling on all of the treaty's members to attack Russia. According to Article 5, an attack against one NATO Ally is considered an attack against all Allies.

Bit sensational wording right there, but I start to see finnish news stating that USA confirmed it to be rockets, not grain dust explosion as some social media outlets think.

Even if it turns out true, and Russia did hit Poland with a missile, all that is going to happen is Russia deny everything saying it's Ukrainian provocation and west "believing" that for the sake of not going into WW3.

Wish it wasn't the truth, but that's the most likely scenario in my opinion.

I would bet money on the rockets being stray ones, since Russia doesn't give a fuck how many civilians they murder. But I will be fucking disgusted if Russia is just scolded and reprimanded ie no real penalty whatsoever. Sanctions? Sure, but adding million more of those is just meh when Ukraine should at long last get real help.

Russia needs to buy time to re-organize, it's time to liberate Ukraine entirely, I say.

There is literally no shame in acting like Russia does. Russia states it is special military operation, not a war. So let Ukraine request a joint military training from NATO, since there is no war. And we'll truly see how fast Russia is gonna fuck off from Ukraine if they want to continue existing...
