Heh, Prigozhin (Wagner leader) fully dunked on Medvedev 2023 "predictions", calling them "erotic fantasies" that should rather be analysed by sc-fi authors.

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
This BS is mostly done for internal consumption. When you have a huge amount of unwashed peasants whose only access to news is through state-controlled media, such messages are more acceptable.
Now, I imagine average Russian looks at this and thing "yeah, this is a fairytale", but this also makes them susceptible to the more "moderate" state messages. That's just Russian version of Overton window at work.
According to russian and belarussian state media...

Seems like Belarus is trying to get an excuse to invade Ukraine as well. Time to dismantle two terrorists state instead of just one.#Belarus Officially confirmed: this morning, a S-300 complex missile fell down in Belarus. Lukashenka instructed to create a group of specialists to investigate the incident. There are no casualties.
Propaganda immediately blamed Ukrainians for this.

Mostly yes, but Prigozhin is tipped to try for a bigger role if not outright going to try to oust putin, part of that effort is weakening putin's allies so that when he moves he has little opposition.
If you've been paying attention you know prigozhin has been very dismissive of the russian MoD, which is another prong of his attack.
Finally Wagner is active around Bakhmut and it is surmised that the reason Russia is fighting for a town that, according to analysts and Ukraine, has little strategic value, is that prigozhin is trying to show his private army is better than the main russian army, so far he's failing.
Daddy Pootin gonna make Lukašenka's regime a distant memory sooner than later, then!
Belarus already is a combatant in the war since they allowed Nazi Russia to invade from their soil etc etc, but if they even go as far as sending belarussian troops to Ukraine, I can foresee the western world to greatly increase the military support for Ukraine.

The head of the Wanker SS definitely has designs on the top job, and in this regards has the TikTok commander on his side, plus some elements in the armed forces. The Butcher of Syria in charge of the war is part of their faction, and reportedly a general in charge of one of the military districts who was in Gerasimov/Shoigu's camp was outed and replaced with a Prigozhin/Kadyrov camp appointee. On top of that, the Wanker SS pretty much controls the Central African Republic and control gold and diamond mines there - the president of C.A.R only remains in power due to the Wanker SS. Its most experienced members aren't in Ukraine, but down in the C.A.R, running the place.

The military commissar for the region essentially came out with a "This shit happens, we shouldn't overreact or worry." type of comment not long afterwards.
Not sure if it's Belarus trying to play it down, their military still trying to say to keep them out of the war or the guy going rogue and needing to avoid windows soon.
I wouldn't say he's doing THAT much better either. He's sitting on his ass in Bahmut for half a year now.
Wagner mercs are sure stronger than whatever unwashed peasants Russian military fields there, but they are also a pretty small force.
I do wonder where he's going with this internal confrontation, that's one of the more interesting parts there and I wonder what his endgame is. Maybe he wants to become a "crown prince" and this is his way to diffirentiate, but he sure knows how dangerous such a game is, because at any moment Kremlin strongmen might decide he's more harm than good and just off him.
Ah, I wasn't aware it's an opposition politician, though Navalny is an example of an opposition politician who, somehow, survives.
Yeah, wagner is doing badly in Bakhmut. Several channels I follow are even saying they are pretty much defeated, think only able to muster 10-15 man squads and then 5-6 of those. Apparently there's another PMC to the south of Bakhmut active...and those are Shoigu Loyalists. (I do find the fact that we can speak of Shoigu/putin Loyalists a scary/hilarious thought.)

You can bet quite a few people are already full swing in a race who becomes the successor. You have loyalists for every such kind of person. As I see it, it's already a three-way race, they are just waiting for Putin to kick the bucket or for the right moment to take over.
All theese increasingly open internal squabbles over who is more incompetent is a sign of things moving.
