Early estimates predicted that this little foray into Ukraine would set Russia back a decade's worth of progress. And that estimate was formulated months ago. I can only imagine what that looks like now.

I believe the Abram's can run on damn near anything if needed, but it isn't a good thing for it to do so.

Don't worry -- we'll be putting those into Russian tanks, too.

It's almost back at the beginning - you could make a loop out of that!

There was a lot to wake up to today morning. Russians (non-officials) abroad clamor for an all-out war with the West now, with some of them standing united at sports rallies like the Australian open, while Russian officials have escalated their rhetoric claiming that the West is now fully involved with the war.

Again though, all this has incited is disgust than fear.

I mean, i get comparison between Nazi Germany and Russia, but the reliance on horses instead of mechanization is a bit of a surprise.

Horses and donkeys still have military applications.

They are still often the only means of transportation in certain places where wheeled or tracked vehicles just can't go. After Afghanistan the US military started using them again.

It was more to poke fun at the fact that the Wehrmacht still heavily relied on horses, despite the popular image of it being fully mechanized.

Russians not invited to Auschwitz camp liberation commemoration

Why is this a big deal? Well, they were always invited before, and this is more or less saying "you're a Nazi." The Russians are already raging at the implications and disrespect.

If russia wants to participate in the normal world again it's really quite simple:

    -Withdraw.
    -Apologize.
    -Pay,

    Bonus:

-deliver putin, prighozin, Lavrov, Shoigu, Gerasimov et al. to the Hague. (I mean the bonus is the grand prize and won't happen but the other demands are achievable.)

    no, it's not simple.

Because apart from the last line, those conditions of reparation you laid out will take probably 50 years minimum for starters alone.

Many Russians are already aware of this and consider this whole affair a doomsday imposed on them by the West, without admitting it's their fault. They will never admit fault or accept blame. Never.

Nobody forced the Russians to fuck around. They are already well into their find out phase, and eventually they are going to have to accept that the conditions of their surrender are not going to be up to them. They are going to be presented to a bunch of things they have to agree to, and they'll be going "da, da, da" like a 1980s German pop band tribute act.
When challenging a Kzin, a simple scream of rage is sufficient. You scream and you leap.

The alternative Russia has is becoming a north korean style pariah of a state in it's relations with the west without at least some attempt to acknowledge wrongdoing.

Those Ruskies better be looking forward to the prospects of being a Chinese vassal.

Did I lay out a timeframe? No, no I did not, in other words: I never said it would be an immediate return to normalcy, it'll take time, but what I said is the ABSOLUTE MINIMUM what needs to happen to be considered back into humanity.
