there's a lot of drama over Russia allegedly staging a Quran-burning protest in Sweden that has severely hampered its accession to NATO; some have even declared it war because they think there is "no doubt" the Russians are behind it, street protests are occuring.

    Any opinions on this?

    2) Russia's involvement

Turkey has suspended talks with Sweden and Finland on their applications to join NATO after the protest at which Rasmus Paludan, leader of the Danish far-right political party Hard Line, burned a copy of the Quran outside the Turkish embassy in Stockholm.

Paludan's actions have led to demonstrations in several Muslim countries as well as in Turkey.

"Swedes in Turkey are asked to stay updated on the development of events and to avoid large gatherings and demonstrations," the foreign ministry said on its advice page for Swedes abroad.

"Continued demonstrations can be expected outside the embassy in Ankara and the consulate general in Istanbul in the coming days."

I thought you meant there are street protests in "Finland".

But nontheless, it still wasn't Finland. And it being ruZZia's doing is pretty flimsy, because these asshats are perfectly capable of doing it all by themselves, as evidenced by their past actions.

The idiot has done plenty of Quran burnings before, it is kinda his shtick... I doubt that Rasmus is controlled by Russia although it wouldn't surprise me he is such a tool...

Why do for free what you can get paid for though?

Seems someone dropped a suicide drone onto the Iranian factory that makes....suicide drones.

Could be any number of people who could have wanted to do that, including local protestors. Isn't too hard to put suicide drones together today.

Looks like it is well ablaze.

Seems like there have been multiple attacks across Iran.

I doubt it's Ukraine, otherwise, Iran will literally take all their forces onto Ukraine's doorstep together with Russia.

If it's Israel, Iran has stated before they would launch an all out-assault to annihilate it if they ever struck them first.

Can rule out the West for obvious reasons.

Iran's forces are busy with the local protests that have been going on for months. They aren't going anywhere.

The Iranian government has a strict policy that if their sovereignty is threatened by external forces, they will destroy those offenders to dust. I mean like all-out ISIS bloodlust. That's why no one really ever wants to fuck with Iran. So you bet they'll haul ass and split up their forces if it was an external force.

Realistically though, it's unlikely this is anyone but the protestors due to Iran's geographic location. The drone factory being blown up is nice for Ukraine, though.

Stop drinking. Iran is not going to join a war, Russia would be fucking invading Iran in vengeance (and failing that) after if they gave US the green light to join the fray with even further modern tech.

Iran cannot afford to do anything that pisses off the West even further. Neither can Russia...

Here's a little help for you - what authoritarian dictatorships claim they can do and what they can actually do are light years apart. It's called propaganda.

Oh please. If those chickenshit zealots didn't do fuck and/or all when we turned their top general into an obituary then what else can they do? They'll cry and whine and shake their fist to the skies and just go back to murdering and raping their own civilians by tomorrow morning.

Israel seems the obvious choice, but there is another option - Azerbaijan. Just before this happened their embassy in Tehran was attacked, leaving one worker dead and another wounded. Embassy attacks in Iran only happen with the approval of the regime.

And due to weird local geopolitics, Azerbaijan and Israel are close, plus both hate Iran. Israel sells a lot of military equipment to Azerbaijan.

Whatever the case, it cuts into their drone production and leaves Russia less capable of hurling them at Ukrainian civilians which I'll say is a good thing for now.
