Hmm...does Finland now have to vote to let Sweden into NATO? I assume not, but technically Finland is now a member...
I think the Finnish government worded the laws about Finland itself joining NATO as such that Sweden is automatically also accepted, so we wouldn't have to vote on it anymore.
Which is a shame. We should have extorted something out of Sweden for this. Nothing major. Maybe a statue saying how we are better or something.
Edit: saw some good suggestions on another forum:
* Sweden officially acknowledges in writing that Sauna was invented by Finland.
* The use of Swedish word for sauna, "bastu", is to be outlawed and replaced with the correct Finnish word instead.
* Sweden also acknowledges in writing that meatballs are also a Finnish invention.

Finland doesn’t even want it. It’s would be a massive infrastructure bill waiting for them full of Russians.

More reasonable than some Finns out there.
I’ve seen some of them suggest things like stripping Mats Sundin of his place in the hall of fame, which is just, hell no, not under any circumstances.
I suspect Finland will wait for Sweden to be officially ratified, since they always made it clear they were both entering or not at all.
And Sweden is still waiting on Hungary.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death
I don't think that's how it works really, everything is in place for Finland to join except for the formal recognisition at the NATO summit. Finland has voted in favour of the law to ascend, everyone has ratified and that's the ballgame. Sweden and Finland have said "hand in hand" but lately Sweden and Finland have also said that if the case might be that they cannot join together then they are ok with different timetables.
