The Prig came out saying something reasonable - he said that the constant nuclear threats just make russia look like clowns. He may be a violent sociopath but he certainly appears smarter than the russian politicians and media.

Still want to know just what hold he has on people that he still hasn't fallen out of a window.

Prig has been a bit too reasonable in what he's been saying for a while now. Only a couple of weeks ago he was pointing out that there are no Nazis in Ukraine, no NATO and that the only people fighting are Ukrainians and foreign volunteers. Also that Russian leadership was stupid if it ever thought NATO was not going to supply Ukraine.

He's certainly not been singing completely from the Kemlin's hymn sheet.

I wonder if he's trying to set himself up as the "reasonable" alternative for after the war. (and I'm sure he could have pulled it off if Wagner as a unit would have been "clean" in sofar you can be clean in a war: so not going out of their way to commit war crimes, and punishing those who do. That didn't happen obviously.)

The day after Victory Day, couldn't be more symbolic. Talk is cheap of course but a public announcement like this puts strain on Shoigu and Gerasimov.

I still think Prig is sociopath and a piece of shit, but perhaps his more hands on direct involvement with Wagner has been a bit of a reality check for him. He certainly seems to spend way more time near the front lines than Putin or Shoigu.

That might have changed his perspective a bit to be more in line with reality rather than the nonsensse Muscovy propagandists are churning out.

I'd hold off celebrating until it actually happens. It could just be gamesmanship trying to get more ammo for the Wankers. The withdrawal of that many troops would open a huge hole in the russian lines they'd have to fill with troops from elsewhere, further weakening other fronts just before Ukraine's attack, and they know it so they may be forced to give hime the ammo to keep his troops in place.

Obviously, seeing is believing. But either way this statement is probably going to cause some headaches. According to the article the plan is for the regular russian army to take over the positions abandoned by wankers. Now I could certainly see prig getting out of dodge before getting turned into hamburgers by Ukraine and then blaming the russian regular army for failing to hold his gains.

After the incident, Marikovski (the guy that threw the punch) proudly posted a video of the scuffle on his Facebook page, with the caption, "Paws off our flag, paws off Ukraine, Russian filth!," according to HuffPost.

Meanwhile, over in Turkey, a perfect representation of the war happened - at a conference, a russian representative tore down the Ukrainian flag, only for a Ukrainian delegate to punch him in the head and take back the flag.
