And if they found it before, what are they going to do? Declare war?

Nobody other than Ukraine - and only then only due to their survival hinging on it - wants to fight Russia.

I think the military knew but didn't want to speak up about it for this reason, since politicians would react impulsively.

I think it's time for the West to put peacekeeping forces in Ukraine. Partially at least, in areas where there's no soldiers fighting. Let's say we tell russia "3/4ths of Ukraine is a no-fly zone"

It's gonna be a tad difficult to do when russia can just veto that, unless you want to bypass the UN...

God it would be so fucking funny if Ukraine just starts nudging Russia out if Bakhmut over the next month, after all the bullshit Russia put into taking it the last nine months.

lots of vids of russians getting foked by tanks up (and a surprising amount committing suicide when they get into bad situations). Shuda stayed home lads.

yeah, I don't mean to be that moral police guy, but that's horrifying and not something to be treated as even slightly hilarious. I've seen what you mean for reference but you can't obviously link that now.

But when you look at how people react on other forms social media, it's disturbing AF. They are like "yeah orc die" or finding it funny as human beings just decide to kill themselves than be blown to bits.

If the russians fall apart before the counter-attack goes ahead simply out of fear of it, that would be the ultimate irony.

I never approved of that. I posted that condemning Russia's own actions.

The way I see it, inhumanity on - or for - both sides is wrong. In this case, it's not the Ukrainians killing Russians in a time of war without mercy, but the Twitter commentators that cheer on such killing.

Maybe they should have thought of that before becoming a raping, murdering and pillaging terrorist.

It seems like Russia is plotting to take over Turkey, on a political note. Amidst Erdogan's declining approval rating, he apparently had a top-level meeting with the coalition of Syria, Russia, and North Korea a day ago. His runner-up rival has outright said Russians are already meddling to influence social media and put Erdogan back into office.

Now, this is surprising to me since the last time I saw Erdogan meet with Putin, he made a fool of him and seemed to have disdain for him. Even if it was a show, I doubt Putin would ever take looking like that on national media.

installing a puppet ruler (i.e, Trump, the Baltics). Turkey is very important to Russia's war effort in slowing down NATO, evading sanctions, and having unlimited access to the Black Sea that Turkey is very stingy about as it is now.

For reference, Trump even recently said he would not have sent weapons to Ukraine and "convinced" Putin to not go to war.

That is basically a wholesale admittance to what Russia does when they instill their authoritarian puppets in political interference overseas. In fact, the likelihood Trump or a Republician will be re-elected in 2024 is why Zelenksy recently said he is hopeful Ukraine wins before 2024 US elections.

Somehow I don't think the Turkish people will just go along with that.
