What's there to make sense of? It seems pretty cut and dry to me. Prig's been saying for AGES now that he and his men have fucking had it with the way they're being used as cannon fodder with no support and they were pushed past the breaking point. Now the criminals are going after the guards who are understaffed.

The Prig is in Rostov with a general they captured. Russia does have thousands of those though.

Make sense of in the sense that how can be this milked for everything it's worth.

Rostov is a logistics hub. The main Russian logistics hub into the Donbass.

Wagner has just effectively cut off the Russian army in Ukraine from Russia.

There are a lot of weird implications to this.

It's all bit reminiscent of an event in ancient China where it was illegal for a general to be late, the penalty being death. Which was also the penalty for rebellion. One general, realising he was going to be late went, screw it, and started a rebellion because if he failed the outcome was the same but success meant he lived.

The Prig kind of got backed into the same corner which you really shouldn't do to someone with am army .

Oh then you don't really mean "make sense of" so much as "capitalize on".

And you really shouldn't do it when your own army has it's collective hands full and hasn't really proven to be much more effective.

The Prig in Rostov with 2 generals, one the deputy minister of defence, the other the deputy of military intelligence.

Hard to tell if prisoners or not. Either implication is big.

No, if Prig is in a postion of power, so he can order a pull out from Ukraine, he will pull out from Crimea to, to gain wests "blessing" for his new regim as President, or alternative Putin is still President, but Prig the Prime Minister, de facto hold the power.

Prig want wests "blessing" no more sanction, west legitimizes him by acknowledge he is the new dictator of Russia.

So...did a civil war just start in Russia because a PMC wasn't properly supported in its efforts to murder/rape people in the country they were invading? Fascinating.

It's more that Wagner was sick of being used as cannon fodder and the russian mod was trying to steal Wagner from the Prig and use them as cannon fodder again.

Wouldn’t it be funny if this little coup ends up going with nato/us supplying one side with weapons to kill the other side.

Prig have never accused Putin himself, only his (evil) advisors. So if Prig win, Putin can step down and save face, the Ukraine shit show was not my fault, it was Shoygu fault. If Shoygu win, Putin have one less pretender to the throne to worry about.

As long Putin do not officially take side, Putin benefit from it, regardless if Prig or Shoygu win.

    2. What the fuck is Beijing thinking looking at this shitshow?
I think they are furious at Putin, becuse it derail their plane to invade Taiwan. West know its meaningful to send wepons to a country like Taiwan, if China invade. It also show that west is willing to take a economic blow, and is willing to deliver a titanic economic counterpunch. Now they probably just want the war to end, becuse it mess up the world economy, and China is in a economic slowdown.

If Russia truly collapses in a civil war, China is ready to go in and protect the Chines minority in Sibiria, and show a "old" map that claim this was historical Chines territory, and anex it, after a referendum at gun point.

    3. What the people at Langley/White House are thinking looking at this?
They probably think what a shit show, but I think a three letter department, have some contact with Prig, and explained US demand to give him US "blessig" like pull out of Ukraine, do not dare to think to sell a nuclear wepon to Iran etc

Pure speculation, a mercenary is loyal to the paymaster who pay the most, and US can pay loots of money.

@Gabriel, I join you in the vigil with power of energy drinks.

This is the power play I wanted to see, Russia crumbling from inside while Ukraine can push forward. And if Wagner has any hope of marching towards Moscow, Russia will need to withdraw their mobiks to defend ze Czar.

Lots of wishful thinking here, but definitely I want to see the outcome.
I managed to get some sleep actually, but when I woke up I felt like I was 8 years old again at Christmas morning. Pic rel was literally me.

What an interesting turn of events this is.
I mean, Wagnar is a mercenary group right? They don't need to really be loyal to anyone. I wondered a few months back if someone had tried to pay them more to switch sides.
Curious to see how the day goes.
As Raistlin Majere said, evil destroys evil - or something like that.

It's one thing to get paid to go fuck up someone else's country. I imagine it's a lot different when it comes to your own back yard. If money is a motivating factor, it's much easier to believe that they don't think they're being properly paid by Russia itself.

    2. What the fuck is Beijing thinking looking at this shitshow? Let's be honest they are the only ones that can reign in the Russians at this point. Russia spiriling into civil war is not in their best interest. It will make the politics of the whole region and the economy of central Asia a hot mess.

    3. What the people at Langley/White House are thinking looking at this? I'm sure there are a whole bunch of analysts losing their shit trying to make sense of this.

Whatever the outcome of this will be, and personally I do think Prigs will be reigned in....one way or another, the damage is already done. Russia just had military mutiny. Any student of Russian history is going to start counting down the clock until everything falls apart. This is will have consequences. Consequences that will likely escalate.
So we might be at the "get the video of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake out of storage, but don't air it yet." stage?
"Law and Order", lots of places have had that, Russia, North Korea, Saddam's Iraq.
Laws can be made to enforce order of cruelty and brutality.
Equality and Justice, that is how you have peace and a society that benefits all.

Putin is going to give an address, I wonder which one it will be?

Prig has been mind controlled by NATO sissy porn and will be crushed accordingly OR "Help me Mario! Shoigu has locked me in the Kremlin and you must rescue me".

Anyone who believe that Wagner can win this will switch sides in heartbeat. Any regime change will end war and blame everything on Putin, currently this is only sane way to go for Russia (because even if by some miracle they keep large part of Ukraine, all they have is demolished coutry full of people that want them dead and perspective of being sanctioned for next X years).

Of course this could mean that monster like Prigozhin could walk free, but hey you can't have everything. Also I realize it's not most likely scenario at the moment.

The fighterbomber telegraph channel reports Wagner has shot down 3 helicopters. They are generally very accurate about russian airforce losses as the reporting come from members of it.
