So it seems that Prig is going to Belarus, Wagner is being redeployed to Prig's African holdings and Tweedle dumb and Tweedle Dee are getting replaced. Putin blinked

My guess would be that the Russian MoD blowing roads and mining bridges on the way to Moscow, slowed Wagner down enough to give them time for the military to get in-place for a stronger response. Then Prigozhin realized the gig is up and folded. It's not really a win for Putin, he comes out looking weak. Prigozhin and Wagner seemingly sealed their fate. It's only a matter of time until the Russian MoD or FSB resolves that situation one way or another.

As for folks thinking it was all staged, this has been brewing for a long time. Kadyrov (who immediately pledged to fight and send troops against Prigozhin as soon as the coup started) and Wagner fought against each other in Chechnya, no love lost there. Prigozhin has been openly and increasingly bashing the Russian MoD for well over a year. This came to a head very recently when the Russian MoD, unhappy with their repeated public bashing, announced that they were going to rein them in by forcing Wagner to be organized and go through the Russian MoD instead of being independent - which infuriated Prigozhin. This is specifically what Prigozhin was referring to today about Russia wanting to "dismantle PMC Wagner". In addition, there were reports of a secret peace deal between Ukraine and Russia brokered by Belarus (Lukashenko's been busy) that would have ceded some occupied land to Ukraine - which Wagner also wasn't happy about. That lead to more public bashing, and Russia's response was the bombing of the Wagner camp. That was the straw that lead to Wagner marching on Rostov. So this has deeper roots and I don't think it was just a recent blowup for a public soap opera.

    Well, what a sad ending.

But at least Wagner probably is formally disbanded, out of action for good in Ukraine. And they were the troops that got some shit actually done.

And Prig is gonna get an accident while in-transit to Belarus, or in there. Or he got the pension treatment to peacefully retire in Belarus forever.

It would be a nightmare senario for the whole world if he managed to topple Putin.
I'm afraid threats of armageddon simply wash over me now.

It was Medvedev's nuclear tidal wave that did it for me.

In any case, soon enough their impudent and disgustingly damp island will be sent into the abyss of the sea by waves created by the latest Russian weapons system.

A PMC chief having a shitload of foreign cash, gold, passports, and coke is the least surprising thing about this story.

Yeah, I'm shocked people are shocked about this.

Here's a big scoop - 100% of the figures in any sort of leadership position in Russia have these stashes ready to go for the rainy day. They all know that one day the gig will be up and they'd need to grab that bag and gtfo.

I bet Prigozhin will soon grab a few of his bags and disappear somewhere in Africa, South America or some islands. Putin isn't going to forgive him for this thing.

    Not the result I expected...

Feels kinda like the Minbari surrender at the Battle of the Line. (Though prig seems to have gotten much more tangible things out of it.)

The fool will live the rest of his days in fear of the FSB and will no doubt suffer a window-related medical incident at some point.

It's not that I don't believe you, just the opposite, Finnish media probably has the best reporting on Russia and I'd like to know where to look.

    https://www.iltalehti.fi/ulkomaat/a/...d-68e6e241c31f

In finnish, an article that follows the war and auto-updates with most recent happenings.

Although, its basically referring to sources such as Meduza or Reuters.

You did not. You're just getting lucky because russians have troubles even hurting themselves at times. You are not a prophet. Get help.

That's fine, I'll still trust the Finnish view of things, what with the whole "sharing a border" going on.

Surely Russia will now steamroll Ukraine like our local shitposters believe so. Russia can only take so many setbacks...soon it has to be the time to decide to finally crush Ukraine just like that...Like Wagner just went through towards Moscow

More the circumstances: surrender at the eve of victory, also Minbari are a bunch of arrogant twats who will lie to anyone, except to one another, if means they can continue acting all superior. (Not a fan of the boneheads.) But if you want we can call them Vorlons because if there ever was a duplicitous bunch it's them.

You say a lot of stupid shit, from time to time you might even be right.

albeit, the interesting thing was even though this was staged, Wagner still killed at least 12 people according to Wikipedia. While the Kremlin is obviously indifferent to human life, you have to wonder if that will not create some dissent or unease.
