If Russia is telling us a nuclear plant is safe, I'm hunting for Iodine pills.

Is it the homicidal rage sort of incenced again? Because I have couple good news for you if it is:

    1. There's a generous offer of paid trip to bakhmut
    2. RuZZki Storm-Z PMC takes rejects even Wagner didn't want.

    What ya think?

The destruction of the Kakhovka Dam illustrated that Russia will do anything abhorrent and that the world will still stand by (again).

The deliberate destruction of the Zaporizhzhia power plant is almost fucking imminent from the way Russians have been evacuating personnel. Ukraine’s spy chief sounded the alarm that Russia has finished preparations for an attack at the occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (ZNPP).

In an interview yesterday with New Statesman, Kyrylo Budanov, Ukraine’s military intelligence boss, provided unprecedented intel and insights on potential Russian readying of a nuclear incident in southern Ukraine.

The ZNPP is Europe’s largest nuclear power plant and one of the ten largest in the world. It is on the southern shore of the Dnipro River some 100 kilometers upstream from the destroyed Kakhovka dam, and its diminished reservoir, and 100 kilometers from the current frontline in western Zaporizhzhia region.

ZNPP has been occupied by Russian forces since February 2022.

Budanov said the decision to blow up ZNPP has already been taken by Russia. He told the media outlet he was confident the plan is fully “drafted and approved” and that the only element missing is the order to go ahead, depending on military circumstances.

“Then, it can happen in a matter of minutes,” Budanov said.

This will be one of the worst disasters ever in the war, to where people even liken it to Chernobyl 2.0 already.

It's the fundamental truth. Ever since the dawn of history, the #1 rule of being the top dog has been having to be the top dog 24/7. No rest, no slip up because all the other dogs want that spot. Putin chickened out of this one, buggered off on his plane and did not show up for a day after his toadies made a deal with Prigozhin and even then he only showed his face on video.

Rest assured everyone took note of this.

No, there's substantial difference between intentionally causing a Chernobyl 2.0 and flooding southern Ukraine.

The cruel fact is that blowing up the dam caused a largely localized disaster that had no substantial ecological or human impact outside the region of southern Ukraine.

Blowing up the powerplant will poison the air and water in much of eastern, southern and northern Europe. There's a difference between watching Ukrainian children in bomb shelters and having your own children soak the fallout. NATO would be substantially less amused.

Also, as psychotic as the Russians might be, they won't intentionally poison themselves, because of they blow that plant they absolutely will fucking do that to southern Russia, Crimea and the hundreds of thousands of soldiers they have in Ukraine right now.

So, I'm going to go with a "not gonna happen".

I know you have a massive nuclear holocaust boner and you jerk off at night at the thought of WW3, but tone it down.

I legit think that the mods are trolling us for not having nuked your account from orbit yet.

Nothing russia does would surprise me, but id think they would be a bit more reluctant in this. Either the wind blows towards russia and they suffer the radiation or it blows towards Europe and they have been warned that is a redline that will not be tolerated. And not a russian redline that gets ignored but a proper one.

Or both. Winds change. This is dumb, but more importantly, it's suicidal.

My brother in Christ, they dug trenches in the Red Forest. I don't think they care.

russians don't give a shit about self-preservation, and russia has crossed so many lines that whatever entails from this, NATO won't inch.

i mean, putin's rapsheet in this war alone has encompassed every war crime known to history, and the only person that's ever allegedly come for his life so far is just a disgruntled subordinate and his private army

I was about 10 months old when it happened. We couldn't reliably get fresh milk and several other products.

    Can you fucking stop?

Russia hasn't crossed any of NATO's lines. Reminder, NATO is a defensive alliance that protects its MEMBERS.

I double triple fucking dare you to name of single fucking line set by NATO that Russia would have crossed.

It's quite the opposite, the Russians keep coming up with bullshit "red lines" about what equipment NATO can or can't supply Ukraine with and which countries can or can't join NATO, and it's NATO that keeps crossing those lines and the Russians do....or can do, absolutely fuck all about it.

Missiles, armor, tanks, more missiles, jets, anti air weapons, NATO expansion etc. All red lines Russia threatened nuclear Armageddon with if crossed, doing NOTHING when crossed.

Why do you think so? Why do you think the Russians are so impotent? Because they can't do anything about it, and because the only weapon they could use, as in nuclear weapons, would mean the total annihilation of Russia. So they do fucking care about self preservation. @Flarelaine @Rozz please for the love of god, give us a solution to the problem of not being able to ignore Yuppie without making this entire thread disappear.

    Seriously. Please.

This is an important topic a whole lot of us care a whole lot about, but everytime we click on it we get some insane Yuppie drivel.

There has to be a workaround for this.

Yeah, maybe can we make a new thread that merges with this one with another OP, so we can all put YUPPIE on ignore. While he is not banned he only adds useless drivel to this thread.

That was not a sensationalist headline because the destruction of the Kakhova Dam was both abhorrent and ongoingly catastrophic in damage
