I'm a bit on the fence with food and pharmaceutical companies, I mean yeah staying in Russia is bad but at the same time life saving meds shouldn't be subject to sanctions to I feel. Same with children's formula and diapers. Heineken though should not be there anymore.

(Gonna catch flack for this as it goes against the notion of sanctioning everything. Oh well.)

I feel like they arent being direct with him about that as well, and adding other stipulations that seem more conditional to joining the European Union. Ukraine is more than ready to join Nato, has been for years, more ready than Bulgaria and Romania were. Just cant do it now, unfortuately.
There is no way Zelensky isn't entirely aware that Ukraine can't join NATO until the war is over and that because its uncertain when that happens, or in what matter, there is no way to give a time table in any sense.

But its also understandable that he really wishes this wasn't the case.

It gets better - he posted his runs and routes on a running app, and which Ukraine's head of intelligence 'liked.' That's some top kek.
We need to follow up on this. This guy wasn't evidently murdered by his brethren, but the Ukrainians are making allusions to having assassinated him.

Country that is under attack kills officer of nation that is currently attacking them?

    sounds like normal warfare
"Law and Order", lots of places have had that, Russia, North Korea, Saddam's Iraq.

Mondelez makes snacks. Heineken makes beer. Unilever makes ice cream, soaps, and detergents. Russians can live without them

Unilever had made their case clear. They have manufacturing and assets in Russia. They supposedly have limited their production as thin as they can but if they fully abandon the area, the state will just seize their assets and have them working under some Russian name. Which isn't exactly an excuse, McDonalds very much did exactly that.

Then clearly my remarks do not concern them, except for the whole get the fook out of russia. (though I thought Unilever made baby formula)

It hasn't been mentioned yet for some reason, but there is a NATO summit happening as I write this, in regards to Ukraine's application.

I'm surprised Putin didn't show up in some capacity to object. However, just before this happened, Russia launched attacks all over Ukraine civilian infastructure again.

Why are you surprised about this? Is Russia a member of NATO? Does Putin regularly show up to the meetings of an alliance his nation is not a part of? Has anyone seen him even, lately?

"in some capacity" doesn't have to mean physically; he can broadcast himself on camera.

Anyway, this is a big deal because Putin allegedly started this war to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO. The possibility of it happening is his biggest red line. Unfortunately, Zelenksy has expressed anger at the complications of joining from this meeting now.

How many NATO meetings do you reckon Putin has attended "in some capacity"?

Why are we caring about red lines Putin has?

Did you just discover Austin Powers movies where Dr Evil just broadcasts himself in a meeting with the world leaders?

Or you think NATO summit gives a flying fuck about Putin's opinions?

Newsflash MMO-C, YUPPIE reporting with infinite red lines from a weak, incompetent dictator that will result in absolutely nothing no matter how many times they are crossed.

Yes, people have been pointing out for the last year the irony of Russia invading Ukraine to stop them joining NATO, only to push them into doing just that.

It sometimes happen in big threads. Not sure if it's always because an account got deleted.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
