Wrong thread. I'll answer in the other one but please keep things in their place.

Another ship appears to have met with careless smokers

Another Russian Black Sea Fleet vessel was reportedly damaged in annexed Crimea this week, according to a video circulating on Telegram showing a warship engulfed in smoke.
NATO vows response if the pipeline was deliberately damaged

Not to call them disingenuous but I do have to wonder what a "determined" response from NATO constitute, because I doubt it means boots on the ground. If they're alluding to "even more aid for Ukraine," then... they should already be providing that, by my reckoning.

Outside of NATO, I can see this encouraging more support for Ukraine from the affected countries.

NATO will never, ever, EVER do anything. It's not even worth bringing up anymore, and I was so vigilant on it at one point too.

I wouldn't know either, but I expect at least a strongly worded letter. I don't expect declarations of war, or missiles flying, because these incidents happened in the Economic zone not the territorial waters. Also the incident was, apparently, of a mechanical nature, meaning some idiot could have just dragged an anchor over it and it being an accident. (very unlikely but, eh.)

Finland and Estonia are already giving a lot for their size, and they do share their own border with russia so...

Unless, you know, a NATO country is literally deliberately attacked. Of course.

Nato really doesn't need to do anything as russia is wrecking itself without nato getting involved.

Just go look at Avdiivka. Someone was obviously given an order to take it at all costs. Well, they are failing at the first part but succeeding at the second. russian losses have been staggering there - thousands of men and hundreds of armoured vehicles lost in just a few days. Heck, a BTR-50 showed up in the losses, an apc from the 50s with side armour so thin that even assault rifles can penetrate it. russian authorities had to clamp down hard on milbloggers given the stories coming out.

For whatever reason, they decided to go back to armoured columns as hasn't been seen since the start of the war and the result has been huge numbers of videos of vehicle after vehicle burning and broken. We'll never know how bad the losses have been but there was video of volunteers begging for body bags to be donated to deal with the dead and a call for medical personnel to take their holidays there to cope with the number of casualties that have flooded in.

This is from a couple of days back and it has gotten worse for russia since then.

so now that it's clear North Korea is supporting Russia with military aid, why don't we do shit about it? I mean, Joe Biden always made statements one wrong turn would "mean the end of the Kim regime" so does this not constitute a wrong turn?

NK had sent stuff previously, and the word from russian troops was it was so shoddy it was a danger to them. A few years back, NK fired on a SK island and 30% of the shells failed to even hit the island. Of the rest, 50% failed to even explode. And the stuff NK is sending to russia will probably be even worse than that - they'll be offloading old shells well passed expiry date.

And while it might sound like they are sending a lot of stuff, at the most it will only last a couple of weeks at reduced firing rates. It was only 2 days worth if they returned to fire rates of old.

Plus SK has said they will reconsider aid to Ukraine in light of NK sending stuff. SK makes a lot of very top end gear and has huge stockpiles of ammunition as well. Congrats russia, you just unlocked SK aid to Ukraine for only a few days worth of ammo.

I just have to enjoy a big fat "LOL" when I see stuff like this...

Simply imagine the implications of russia having to drag test vehicles out of storage just to field something

I've been seeing signs to "STOP THE UNJUST WAR IN UKRAINE" recently near where I live. And in smaller text "AMERICANS FOR AMERICANS" underneath it. Fucking disgusting. The first one is of course, a good message. We support Ukraine even harder so they can kick out Russia and end the war. The second one, however, explains that they don't actually mean 'stop the war', they mean "stop spending US money to help Ukraine and hurt Russia". If I had seen people putting those out there, I probably would've stopped my car and gotten into a screaming match with them. It is, unfortunately, a very common opinion held among conservatives in the USA...

Zelensky lost a lot of goodwill today after expressing he intends to visit Israel, only for Israel to rebuke that idea. He has been notably on edge over Israel's issues taking away from Ukraine's in publicity, and certain conservatives are getting very pissed off over that claiming he's acting entitled or ungrateful.

Nope, you little misleading little thing. If you missed it, Israel is under state of war. Perfect reason to not focus on international relations. Has nothing to do with losing any goodwill, but then that's what you want gullible posters to believe.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked to make a solidarity visit in the wake of the Hamas onslaught on Israel but was told “the time is not right,” Hebrew-language media reports.
Wonder why the sentence says "time is not right?"

Israel has been hesitant to antagonize Moscow, which has a heavy military presence in Syria.

Ukraine appears to have struck the russian occupied airfield of Berdyansk. The russian fightbomber channel, which is usually very accurate about admitting losses, says it was one of the most serious blows of all time, and says it was done with ATACMS. That last part might be speculation, but video shows hat appeared to be ongoing explosions at a munitions warehouse and here are reports of multiple helicopters damaged or destroyed.

    worse yet;
russia was considered a peer or world power prior to Ukraine. The implications of them now having to depend on NK for supplies??

Speculation is that really Russia-China-NK are just replicating the US-SK-Ukraine ammunition shuffle.

US gives ammo to Ukraine and gets ammo in return from the South Korean stockpiles. What is likely happening is that North Korea is shipping off it's good ammo stockpiles to Russia and in exchange is getting brand new stuff from China...along with jets, subs, rockets engines etc from the Russian stockpile. The North Koreans literally won the lottery here.

Fantastic, too bad we can't give them thousands of these missiles.

Those studying the satellite images claim that the ATACMS strike destroyed 9 helicopters, including 5 KA-52s, and likely damaged at least 4 more helicopters as they remained behind after the rest evacuated. There is liable to be damaged to other facilities but the imagery isn't sharp enough to detect.
