A sense of the scale of losses in russia
A memorial in a russia village - 1 dead in 9 years in Afghanistan, 3 over 12 years in Chechnya and 13 in less than 2 years in Ukraine. That's a loss 60 times greater per year than in Afghanistan.
Damn, a week without proper PC as I was getting a new one working. How badly did Russia lose for us to be granted the honor of having more vatniks + even Waffles himself coming to chime in with fellow russian cohorts?

Indeed. This always happen when russia gets demolished. It's as if russia can't focus on several things at the same time. "Oh, damn I broke my toys... let's get on the internet and claim it is brand new and that it definitely isn't destroyed"
From a certain other thread I noticed several of these type of posters and ignored them from there, so this thread kinda lit up with ignored posts. "This message is hidden because [vatnik] is on your ignore list."
They are only here to cause division and problems and nothing else.
So yes, what I mean by this is that everytime in the past when it's going really badly for russia they swarm the net and try to cause mayham without regard for anything. It's about information control and confusion. Making the blow from a feather instead of the hammer it actually was.
No, it is not. It is Украина in Russian, just like it was with Украинская Советская Социалистическая Республика during Soviet times.
It also is the official name Russia uses - your opinion/view literally does not matter in this case. Do not like it? Complain to Kremlin, Duma, Council on the Russian Language, whatever.
The original meaning/source of the word bears little in regards to what the word is now. Do not fuck with your own language, especially when you claim you are trying to protect it.
We can also discuss whether there is a real difference between the usual conscripts or the mobilised people - those 300k, if you have forgotten.
It's odd that they focus on this space... a WoW gaming forum with a limited reach, largely static population, and contextually a whole slew of people ready to blow their nonsensical talking points out of the water. Repeatedly.
The way the misinformation propaganda train is supposed to work is that a whole host of people post salacious rumors, those rumors get out, and spread beyond their point of creation while the people trying to refute them take so long to form a coherent response that anything they might say to counteract the propaganda is lost or reaches so few people compared to the initial flurry of misinformation that their efforts are wasted.
But that's not what happens here. Some Russian sympathizer or turnip farmer posts something blatantly wrong, then the next four pages are immediately filled with people pointing out why what they said was stupid and wrong while the Russian troll goes and hides for a few days until they get their next talking point. The amount of time for someone to see their post and think "wow maybe this guy IS right that Russia is actually the victim!" is so tiny I don't understand the effort.

Words to live by.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

I presume that the ground-level employees of places like the Internet Research Agency are working on a quota system. MMO-Champ may not be a particularly good target objectively, but its got a lot of readers and isn't particularly focused on shutting down Russian disinfo. So it's a good place for "I made X posts to Y readers repeating the official line".
Or, they're doing it for free, like the GOP's right-wing zombies in the US.
"For the present this country is headed in directions which can only carry ruin to it and will create a situation here dangerous to world peace. With few exceptions, the men who are running this Government are of a mentality that you and I cannot understand. Some of them are psychopathic cases and would ordinarily be receiving treatment somewhere. Others are exalted and in a frame of mind that knows no reason."

Yet more lies being pushed, but there’s one thing that this post is quite illuminating about all the same.
That Ulf Kristersson would have said that is a mistranslation currently circulating in various arabic medias widely, but that we have a Russian vatnik here pushing that exact same bullshit out of his playbook concurrently is quite telling on from just what corner they got it out of.
