Meanwhile in UN, Russia requests the UN Security Council to assemble due Ukraine's "horrible strikes on Belgorod" - read: military targets. While Russia just hit another bunch of maternity hospitals etc etc...

How quaint, why make mention of his affiliation? Anyway, did this dude do anything worthy of putin's ire? If not, does this mean that beign a putin ally is starting to be a liability?

That's the thing, it seems since basically Prig's drive from Rostov to outside of Moscow that the vast majority of those who have taken long window views have been those on Putin's side.

On one hand it could be he's an ultra radical that is threatening Putin from the more aggressive part of the regime.
Or it could be that someone is trying to take out those they feel are too loyal to Putin for their own power play.

From what I can dig up quickly looks to me like he's just a minor player:

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-b2470787.html

They praised the politician – its deputy chairman before his death – for providing “comprehensive support to the participants of the Special Military Operation and the families of military personnel” fighting in Ukraine.

Mr Egorov was forced out of the city administration in 2016 following a corruption scandal for which he was not convicted. He then returned to the political fray in 2020.
But if a power play would be ongoing getting rid of lower loyalists to replace them with your own is a valid way of grabbing power...

Local russian officials have admitted that the deaths and damage were as a result of falling debris from intercepts. I expect that they will also be falling out of windows soon for admitting that it was russia killing it own again.

Being Russian in Putin's Russia caused his death.
He caught acute ground poisoning. Very common disease in Russia.

Drunkvedev (who strangely hasn't fallen out of a window yet) has said russia won't negotiate until the current Ukrainian government is removed and Kharkiv, Odessa, dnipro, mykolaiv and Kyiv are handed to russia. Ir should be evident to everyone by now this is an imperialistic war of conquest alone and surrendering any land is pointless.

Russian Official: We have completed our investigation, and determined that it was not the fall that killed him, but the sudden stop at the end.

Well, it boils down to two things for Medvedev:
    1. he's a useful idiot,
    2. he's in the inner circle,

As I've argued before: when putin starts eliminating those closest to him, the inner circle, that's when things get interesting because then he becomes an issue for people who actually ARE in a position to eliminate him. As long as he doesn't hurt those he relies upon for his power he can do whatever he wants, but if the security apparatus no longer supports him it's over.

Reminds me a lot of Ankh-Morpork in Discworld where there were hardly any murders but lots of suicide. It was very easy to suicide, such as ordering a short in a dwarf bar.

    We have another one!
Funny how one disappears and another one shows up.

Nobody has a problem with people bringing forth arguments for Russia, the problem is regurgitating ruSSian propaganda to defend its genocidal war.

I pray for the day to come that Russia breaks the "Russia bad" monolith, but alas, I'm left hanging.
