So we went from just the west placed economic sanctions to most countries actually cheer for Russia to yeah but what about the people. Where to would you like to move the goalpost in the end? Taiwans situation is not comparable to begin with, due to the mere fact it isn't an international recognized nation, it is basically a fully atuonomous region of China.

My point is that this argument is moot.

Western/broader Asian reaction to Chinese belligerence is not specifically contingent on Taiwan's political status, but on the broader issues Asia has with Chinese expansionism and Western economic ties to Taiwan and the region.

Most countries who aren’t supporting Ukraine are uninterested in the events transpiring in Russia/ukraine.

The countries that “support” Russia are their crony states or ones willing to use them as cheap gas. Russia has no allies joining them in the fight. The closest they’ve gotten is faulty munitions shipped to them from North Korea.



I don’t even know what “Russian values” you think you’re extolling here that the rest of the world supposedly admires. Suffice to say whatever those values are, they’re currently losing to western values. Just like when Russian values lost to western values back in during the Cold War. And the USSR commanded way more global “respect” than Russia does. See how many people actually came to the USSR’s aid when it was in its death throes? Zero.

Not since they sorted their workarounds, that took like 3 months. They still own a sizeable percentage of London housing stock. But that’s okay it’s all done through British overseas territories so our rich guys still benefit too. They were never going to make the rules so watertight as to harm rich westerners as well, why do you think Trump and his cronies are still backing Putin?
