Well you still would need a link. I am sure your casual web user just googles (or uses their favored search engine) to find that and google will NOT provide you with a link. But once you find the website address somewhere you can just bookmark and access it. So it definitely limits accessibility but it doesn't go beyond that. If you are interested in getting that viewpoint, you will be able to find it. But you will not stumble upon it together with other news.

I think to most Western people here, Ulmita's opinions are immediately dismissed as Russian propaganda. Propaganda ain't needed; that is a fairly common stance in Greece

I'd imagine it's also heavily dependent on location. Being next to Russia certainly made NATO rather appealing over here. Not to mention previous history with the bastards. The ban goes further, like decision in last december to completely block all Yandex sites as well. Clearly even the map service is a threat to us...

Bullshit. We haven't banned Russian media in any sense, or buried other Russian opinions. We just label it what it is, state-sponsored propaganda. And propaganda has never actually been "the POV from the other side."

NATO opposition had long roots here in Finland and even latest polls prior to full-fledged war showed clear majority opposition to joining NATO. It had made certain that no political parties openly pursued NATO as an option (though most kept open the "NATO Option" for future). That all changed overnight after invasion. Putin was the best recruiter NATO ever has had and it unified both right and left of the political spectrum and even some of the most anti-NATO politicians changed stance over the new reality. The “Russian perspective on Ukraine” is no more important than the “nazi perspective on France” was important.

The only cursory import in the Russian perspective is how it can be used to weaken their war effort, whether by undermining them strategically or being leveraged against the Russian zeitgeist to turn their population against the war.


There is nothing to be gained by any western media outlet or talking head interviewing Putin. It only serves Russian interests, which as far as Ukraine is concerned are deplorable.

I'm sure if they track every autoplay as users scroll by as a "view" and force it into a bunch of users feeds regardless of if they've followed anyone sharing or interested it or not, they can absolutely artificially make that happen.

I mean, that's how they made his initial videos have such high view counts. And Facebook long used that as a tactic to demand a higher cost for video ads by dishonestly adding every autoplay from a user scrolling by as an actual view of the ad.

They’re largely pointless as well, since there’s so many Russian bots out there making sure the “views” get through.
