Do you use the same standard then you speak about Israel? the enemys of Israel can bury IDF in corpses. Its not like IDF have succeeded in winning the peace for the last 50+ year. So way do not Israel surrender?

Not the last question was a rhetorical question. But do tell me why you do not use the same standard for Israel?

No its then you accept "good enough" guided glide bombs, Russia have used thousands of that type of weapon, so only about 1% hit a Russian villages, probably a few more % hit empty fields but the rest hit the target (or hit close to the target)

Because unlike in case of Ukraine, we beat the shit out of our invaders in a matter of weeks if not days, every time they tried.

We have the overwhelming military superiority vs our neighbors here, unlike Ukraine vs Russia. Obvious answer, no?

The reality in Israel is vastly different to reality in Ukraine.

Nah, you didn't. The IDF beat the shit out of a lot of civilians--including hostages and your countrymen--and might have accidentally hit some Hamas along the way.

Regardless of your opinions on the rest of Gaidax's post, I think we should all agree that this part is spot-on. There's another thread about Israel, let's not spread that here.

    Correct.

And as a whole the whataboutism is also generally not the best strategy to approach the topic given the very obvious differences in circumstances.

Hey, if they're going to bring up something objectively wrong, I'll go ahead and correct it. Whether or not it's in the proper thread.

pootin, yet again, ready for cease fire

Now I don't think much will come from this, other than "cry, why Ukraine no negotiate, cry!" (From russia of course), but Reuters reporting on it at least gives an indication that it's not pulled out of someone's ass.

Drone video footage of an s400 battery trying to defend itself against ATACMs.

Not bad for a 1980s rocket going up against the 'world's best' air defence system.

Eh, it's just a repeat of the russian tactics to try and blame the west fir there being no peace even though they have no desire for it themselves.

Cease fire for what? There's no war.

    Clearly you missed the memo

Summary: they said "state of war". Interpret as needed by both sides.

It continues to amuse me we see these mildly produced videos with Euro hardstyle (or whatever subgenre) beats pumping over war footage. Absolute wild time to be alive, and glad to see more Russian hardware losses.

I think they are over with that meme, last I heard.

Loving all the hits on air defense the past month, should hopefully provide more safety for the f16's to launch whatever we give them(hope we give them a lot of missiles that will wreck Russian armor/equipment). It is also looking more and more like America will soon allow strikes into Russia with our weapons, as there is some Republicans putting pressure on Blinken to allow it. With even Johnson saying Ukraine should be able to attack what it wants.

  15. #38735
Even Blinken is pushing for it. The hold up seems to be Sullivan and Biden.

It's absurd that people thought Ukraine will win or even long-term survive with 2 arms bound behind it's back.
I think the Western leaders got scared of an apparent quick win but pulled too tight on the restrictions and the current state is the result.

Ukrainians tend to not show when they are hurt and Westerners didn't take that into account, so they bound Ukraine's arms when one of their feet were damaged already.

    Okay, no more anatomy analogies...

Ukraine reports half a million russian casualties.

    That's a lot

Even if it's over reported that's still a lot of piggies removed from play.

There was a lot of concern in Europe that Russia might have been able to escalate and expand the conflict, I think that seems to have faded now and European suppliers have largely said Ukraine can do what it wants with their stuff.

The opposition in the US seems to come from your typical Russian funded grifters.

Any ceasifire instigated by Russia will just be a moment for them to regroup, restock and re-engage. They still haven't met their goals for this war and I don't think they will actually stop untill they do.

The aid we have sent so far is tax money well spent. The less hostile of a future russia has, the better.
