I'm not as inclined to immediately disbelieve them in this particular case, but the reputational damage has already been done that even if they were speaking the truth it's hard to take them seriously when they've still yet to dislodge the Ukranians who've begun camping out in Kursk.

Looks like Ukraine hit the ammunition storage at the Marinovka air base today, too.

Five days ago Ukraine drones hit am oil depot in Proletarsk, Rostov. I mean, debris from shot down drones hit the depot. Again. Five days later it is still burning out of control and so far 49 firefighters have been injured, with at least 7 hospitalised. At least 14 tanks have been completely destroyed and 4 partial, but the full number is unknown as thick smoke covers the area.

Each tank holds about 5000 tons of oil, and holds processed oil for the russian military. You are looking at at least 21 million gallons of fuel for the russian army gone up in smoke.

In other words, russian depot successfully intercepted the drones using anti-air oil explosion that allowed 49 firefighters to enjoy an early vacation with 7 sampling all-inclusive care.

21 million gallons of oil uploaded to the cloud.

The russian mod says that about every single drone strike. Even the russian milbloggers have called them out on it.

At last count, a third of the tanks there had already burned or were buring.

And more seem to be igniting as they fail to contain the blast.

Regarding Bryansk, wouldn't be surprised if Russians shot at some animals because they're starving, then realised they had to make shit up to explain to command why they were using up bullets.

I do feel bad for the injured firefighters. And... Literally no one and nothing else in this story.

those firefighters are supporting Putin's regime, just saying.

When some Russian asset blows up and is set on fire, you ideally want that damage to spread as much as possible to slow the Russians down or sow chaos. When a firefighter shows up and nullifies the damage, that is literally supporting Putin's war because it's giving the Russian troops a faster chance to reorganize.

no double standards with "and literally no one else" please.

Those firefighters are doing a fucking job. Are you going to tell me I shouldn't feel bad about combat medics getting injured because they're supporting Putin's soldiers?

No double standard at all, which should be evident to anyone properly capable of applying logic to the situation.

If you support Ukraine, yeah. Especially medics. Firefighters and medical personnel that get involved in the war are 100% assets to their side of the military. And as history dictates, Russia is currently the modern Nazi regime.

If these were firefighters in Moscow and just taking out an average housefire there, it'd be "fine" because that's for civilians. But actively repairing the damages Ukraine is strategically causing to the bridges they're trying to continuously blow up to advance the end of the war? Those people should not be given more sympathy than the Russian soldiers that rape and pillage.

Boy, you really don't actually understand the concept of "nuance" do you? Everything's just completely 100% to the extreme end of the spectrum.

Ukraine is ruthless right now. They are sparing no efforts to make this incursion hard for Russia. Bombing all their important shit.

nuance applies to civilians (and even then, depending on their mindset), not war time volunteers and assets.

And good on them, they should continue to do so. I will still feel bad for the firefighters who get injured putting out the fires, just as I would for any civilians injured by the bombing.

Firefighters are generally civilians, not "war time volunteers," and the rules of war consider medics to be non-combatants rather than "assets."

I've lost track of the number of times I've called Yuppers out on his seemingly endless hyperbole.

No, you Neanderthal, nuance always applies unless you're promoting war crimes.

Are you promoting war crimes, Yuppers?

It's like you're forgetting that the average citizen in Russia is a victim of Putin, too. These people didn't volunteer for war, they're fighting fires in Russia.
