One of Zelensky's advisors said today that 3,500 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded so far during Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. I honestly find this extremely hard to believe. These numbers are insane.

Or the real world where south is looking fucked now after the loss of Melitopol and the half encirclement of Berdiansk - last city towards Mariupol, which prevents connection between Crimean forces and those of the DNR.

In the meantime I am watching videos from Kiev and they clearly are fighting amongst themselves much more than against the supposed Russian forces attacking. I make claims and I'm willing to back them up. However you just say "whatever" and come with an argument unrelated to the topic we were talking about. I never said anything about the south or whether or not Ukraine isn't fucked or not, Ofc Ukraine is fucked it's in a war with a much larger nation with a much larger army led by an idiot.

What I claim is that the much larger Russian army under the leadership of Putin is performing atrociously, and is showing the entire world that Russia is a joke of a country by modern standards, because going by the amount of personal and material losses the Russian army already endure in these first few days they cannot survive a sustained conflict for very long before going to the wind like a card-house in a hurricane.

Putin has threatened to inflict punishment beyond imagination upon anyone who were to ignore his warnings and help any of these nations become stronger against Russian influence. Yet that red line has been crossed today with the public displays of military aid for Ukraine by various NATO members. We'll see where this goes.

You're looking at countries that loathe Russia more than Germany... The same isn't true for the Ukraine, cousins of Russia, with lots of family ties, same culture, same language. People who openly say they don't care about the EU but they want the money the West has. Nope, sorry. Those are not good enough reasons to join NATO or the EU. The Ukraine is as far from being in the EU as Turkey is right now.

I think too many 80s movies in the US depicting Russians as supervillains have colored peoples perspectives of them to seem a lot more capable than they actually are. That's not to say they aren't dangerous. In fact, I think reality they are more delusional and unpredictable than most people realize. And that alone makes them very dangerous.

Because Russia is doing it's information/propaganda war too. "Look, we are willing to talk!" "Ohhh, but they did not agree, so we are continuing!" I even posted during day the stupidity of Russian news where both of those sentences were posted with 7 minute difference, thus making it ridiculous.

My argument was very related - until there is actual proof provided everything said is BS. Just like your airfield.
But if you want to keep believing that Russia can't absorb couple thousand dead... I don't think you understand the scale and how little we see of the whole picture. Russian side has not published a single video of airstrikes, for example, while we know those do happen. Ukraine, on the other hand, has mostly shown, by random soldiers or private persons, soft skinned vehicles, very little from actual officials. That should tell you something, but if it doesn't - sorry, I can't help.
