Kiev is having another mass panic, now about paratroopers. Those parachutes, however, look like AA fire. FFS, it is not going to end well.
Increased reports of airstrikes in general, as was expected...
I see reposts, but no confirmation that EU has blocked it's airspace for Russian planes and is removing all European airline planes from Russia. Pretty huge deal, if true. Sources are shaky, like this

Seems you are correct, it is very generic. Realistically... they both have done that. People need to understand that this always will happen in a war, no matter what one bans and calls war crimes.
Yeah, same question. Was not on any major news media headlines.
Oh there's plenty. If they go down that route and turn Ukrainian cities into rubble you can expect Russia to be given the North Korean treatment. Pretty much completely embargoed and economically cut off from the west and any nation that leans that way. We are heading in that direction already. That's not to say that he won't do it. He made a massive miscalculation in attacking the Ukraine but now that he's committed he can't back down. So he has to push through no matter the fallout and if he thinks that requires turning cities into rubble then rubble they will be.
Russian state TV channels have been hacked and are broadcasting the reality of what is happening in #Ukraine.

yes, China banks are restricting trades on Russian commodities.
somewhat besides the point but I for one have never seen evidence that China will/would ever stick it's neck out for Russia. but I guess for some people it's easier to assume every major power that isn't western are all in cahoots with one another. as if that isn't purely out of the convivence and the need to work around the west.
Meh, this is a couple of banks not giving out dollar-denominated loans for purchases of certain Russian goods (and requiring explicit approval for yuan ones), strictly so that they're still in compliance with US rules. Calling this "China put sanctions on Russia" is a huge stretch, but to each their own.At least two of China’s largest state-owned banks are restricting financing for purchases of Russian commodities, underscoring the limits of Beijing’s pledge to maintain economic ties with one of its most important strategic partners in the face of sanctions by the U.S. and its allies.
'BREAKING: European Commission, France, Germany, Italy, UK, Canada, U.S. announce they will disconnect certain Russian banks from Swift and will take restrictive measures to prevent the Russian Central Bank from deploying its international reserves to undermine sanctions.'

Good!
You don't understand China at all. China doesn't like Russia at all, it has a small grudge against Russia.
Chinas interests are their own. As it currently stand China does not have allies*, it just has trade partners. The current ruler of China Xi Jinping has written three books (these are a must read for beginners who want to understand China) and in the last he talked about what he sees in the future for China. And I don't think he's ever going to help anyone in any major conflict that they themselves are not involved in. And despite China being ruled by very scary and cold but also intelligent, systematic and calculated people, they're not out for world domination, He's out there to make China unapologetically Chinese, a bastion that can not be broken by outside influences. An extremely authoritarian state (much more so then now) that wishes to have an open relationship with a world that can do whatever it wants as long as it respects China and doesn't bother it.(it's a new idea)
There is no place for a country like Putin's Russia in Xi Jinpings future. What he wants is that the war ends and that they can start trading again with as much people as possible to make money so they can build toward a better tomorrow.
*North Korea is a very difficult "ally" even for China.

Not all EU countries as of yet but its heading that way. It won't require all the countries of Europe to join the blockade to make it effective either. Just the ones bordering it. After that there's no effective route.

Like blaming the US for Ukraine? Or refusing to call Ukraine an invasion? Or blasting the US for imposing sanctions on Russia?
China will never directly aid Russia in a military effort, that's true. But they absolutely have stuck their neck out for Russia and are likely prepared to do more in the future. China is absolutely in the business of sabotaging the West as long as its beneficial to them in the long term.
I mean the source is talking about EU wide ban (but is shaky in itself). Honestly, this will hurt us too, since long term flights will be, erm, problematic. Hello Iran, let's talk about reducing sanctions on you, since we need your airspace.
But it needs to be done, no matter what.
China is also very likely attempting to pave the way towards an eventual expansion into Taiwan. The close parallel here is going to make it doubtful that China will meaningfully rebuke a similar move from Russia.
