How much do you think Trump wanted to surrender the US to Russia during their last phone call?

It also minimized their ability to project force and slowed down their nuclear program immensely. Oh they could absolutely fund militias all over the Middle East and even further but could they engage in actual military adventurism like Russia did? A properly sanctioned Russia would not be able to maintain the invasion, simple as that. It could fund little green men, not an actual invasion.
That said, we are all fucked. I need to pick up Mandarin again

So, the question begs to be ask is why? Why the hell strike Chernobyl? Especially the part where radiation is at its worst. I mean, it won't affect very many people in Ukraine and affect more in Belarus if the radiation spreads.

Knowing Russia I feel like it could be either malice or incompetence, maybe even both.
"In order to maintain a tolerant society, the society must be intolerant of intolerance." Paradox of tolerance
Probably just aiming for another kindergarten and missed.
It's not a problem if you don't look up.
Could also be more nuclear blackmail, a not so subtle reminder that if they don't get their way they can do worse - especially as Trump would do nothing about it.
Easy, extortion/blackmail. Do what we want or else.
I was expecting Chernobyl to play a role in this after Trump or Harris got in power, but I was kinda hoping they would forget about it. It's a horrible negotiating tactic, threatening with nuclear meltdowns has got to be the lowest of the low.
Trading one nuclear nightmare for another isnt exactly sound logic.
Besides, as I recall, what remains of Russias nuclear arsenal is still quite large. If anyone could just "blow it up" before Russia had a chance to retaliate with said nuclear weapons, dont you think theyd have done it?
I mean there was this whole "Cold War" thing where the issue was that we couldnt just do that. Maybe you heard about it?
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.
Just, be kind.
