Can’t elaborate when you haven’t made it clear what you find confusing.
Try highlighting specific aspects of my post you find challenging to understand.
Do you find the concept of Russia not obeying their own ceasefire confusing? Do you find Russia being the invaders and then complaining when the invaded country attacks them back confusing?
If so I advise you take it up with Russia.
“Do not lose time on daily trivialities. Do not dwell on petty detail. For all of these things melt away and drift apart within the obscure traffic of time. Live well and live broadly. You are alive and living now. Now is the envy of all of the dead.” ~ Emily3, World of Tomorrow
Words to live by.

Just thinking of the fog-of-war guy that said, "Ukraine wont be able to use drones after the first month".
It would be amusing to go back over his pronouncements from three years ago. He was so very, very wrong about basically everything that he vanished in shame for at least a year. Then came back spouting pretty much the same kind of nonsense he was back at the start.
When even the people like that have gone quite, you know it's not going well for Russia. The best they can muster now is a "special" kind of drive by shit posting, utterly without substance.
When challenging a Kzin, a simple scream of rage is sufficient. You scream and you leap.

The others kinda need talking points. Right now Russia's messaging is floundering a bit. They are mostly relying on proxies like the MAGA type to stir shit up for them and they already captured that audience.
Eventually they'll find some new angle of disinformation and then we will be flooded with spam again.
Or, they'll commit some kind of unhinged barbaric atrocity again and then the whole Ruski Mir will be out in force to do some victim blaming.

Still waiting on some proper satellite imaging of the other airfields - cloud cover is limiting it a bit, and the satellites being used can't really show the level of detail to show damage as opposed to being destroyed - you'd need military sats for that, which we won't see.
But what it looks like so far;
Belaya: 4 TU95 Bears, 4 TU22 Backfires destroyed.
Olenya (from video): 4 TU 95 Bears, 1 AN-12 Transport
Ivanovo: 1 A-50 AWACs.
Ivanovo is heavily clouded and nothing yet from Dyagilevo - it was attacked but seems to be no damage there.

So to all those who have continiously shouted "Ukraine needs to negotiate!", "Putin was forced to do this!" or "If they didn't keep getting weapons from us Putin would stop!"
Listen up because I am getting tired of repeating myself.
Putin didn’t budge in Ukraine peace talks. Now Donald Trump may be forced to act
It is just further proof that putin has no interest in talks. He is there to steal land, indoctrinate children, and install a puppet government.
And putin has vowed retaliation for the aircraft attack. I presume he will continue his pattern of bombing hospitals and school.Russia captures Andriivka in Sumy region - state media claims
'Many are wounded' after 'savage' Russian attack on Sumy, Zelenskyy saysRussia has reportedly captured the Ukrainian settlement of Andriivka in the Sumy region, according to state media.
RIA reported the move, citing the defense ministry, which later repeated the claims.
The reports from the battlefield have not been independently verified.
Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskyy has responded to the Russian attack on Sumy - which we reported on at 8.46.
He described it as a "savage strike" that was a "fully deliberate attack on civilians."
A rescue operation is said to be under way and "many people have been wounded".
He also said three people had died - up from the two previously reported.
"At least one MLRS shell was a dud. It pierced the wall of an ordinary apartment room on the 9th floor," Zelenskyy said.
He went on: "That alone says everything one needs to know about Russia's so-called 'desire' to end this war.
"It is obvious: without global pressure – without decisive actions from the United States, Europe, and everyone in the world who has the power – Putin will not agree even to a ceasefire."
He called for tougher sanctions on Russia for their "aggression and the killing of people".
There is still a few members of the republican senate that remember russia is the enemy.Ukrainian delegation arrives in the US to meet with Trump team
A delegation from Ukraine has arrived in Washington DC today.
The group is headed by minister Yulia Svyrydenko and includes members from her treasury team as well as Andriy Yermak, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's chief of staff.
Yermak posted about the trip and said they would be meeting with members of Donald Trump's team.
He outlined a range of topics they would discuss with the administration, as well as both Democratic and Republican politicians.
This included the signed minerals deal and the talks in Istanbul.
"The truth is on our side," he said.
It comes as Senator Lindsey Graham's bill to impose more sanctions on Russia is set to move ahead this week.
The South Carolina politician has outlined the legislation which sets a 500% tariff on goods imported from countries that buy Russian oil, gas, uranium and other products.
We shall see how this goes today and tomorrow, but at least trump can't accuse Zelensky of not trying to end this war anymore.

My whole political stance pretty much boils down to "I care about other people and the planet" and wow does that make some people mad.
This is your evidence? Really? An ELI5 channel?
Alright... what are they doing? They accomplished nothing. What gets defense budgets up is Russia in Ukraine. Not whatever latest crazy it is the US is whining about this afternoon, before it's replaced by the evening crazy. And surely overnight something else crazy will happen.
If the US wanted to use NATO as a tool, they'd have to stop being batshit crazy in politics to begin with. They have literally zero tools internationally, because most people treat the US like a deranged child.
And even then, NATO is a military alliance. It has very little in terms of political clout, mechanisms or even political effects. The most you can do is go the French route and leave NATO. And then enter NATO. And probably leave again at some point. Not really the most sophisticated "political tool" in your box, is it?

The problem with terrorists is not that you're in danger of being overrun and conquered, not really. The danger is simply the mindless killing these psychopaths do. Should we fear Russian conquest? Fuck no, they probably couldn't conquest their own outhouses if there was a wasps' nests in them.
But what they like to do is inflict pain, suffering and generally do the evil things that evil fucktards do. Yes, that would inconvenience Europe a bit. To put it mildly. It seems right now, Putin is hell-bent on provoking WW3 so he can finally do what he wanted all along, pull out the nukes and go down in history as ending the world. The provocations in the Baltics are really the key thing here, maybe more important than Ukraine. If he so much as touches Lithuania, Ukraine won't be an issue anymore.

Kerch bridge has been damaged by underwater mines, just to add to Ukraine's successes of late.
Kerch bridge o'clock!

"First explosive device" sounds promising.
They literally used NATO to manipulate how each of the european nations' military was to be structured while also using it to put bases all over the European peninsula to show US enemies that nowhere is safe, while also using them to keep an eye out on Europe. And it's worked. It's just not very in-your-face, because again, it's a "soft power" situation. And they've spent more than half a century to slowly build and exhude that infuence, but then Trump stomps in and tears all of this built up soft power to the ground.
Man probably heard the word "soft power" and decided to destroy it because of the word "soft" which he interpreted as weak. And he want to show himself as stronk like putput! So no sissy soft power.

Crimean bridge under another attack, on my birthday??
Cri-me-a river indeed, Putin.
