Yeah, he did report it with a certain glee.
Maybe he should be reminded that the russians have almost taken Pokrovsk for a year now.

    Heres a headline.
Panic in eastern Ukraine as Trump entertains idea of giving parts of it to Russia

I have to say, this Friday worries me.

It's a stupid headline; Trump literally has no authority to give Putin shit. As Zelensky put it a day or two ago; if Trump wants to give Putin territory, he can give him Florida, not Ukraine.

Civilized world failed Ukraine already, would be a cherry on top if Ukraine would be forced to give land. Trump sure knows the art of the deal. Wonder if I could praise him online and invade a foreign country...and get rewarded for it.

no one is forcing anything on Ukraine, except Russia.

Remember Trump has given away half of Ukraine to Russia at least twice already, doing it a 3e time is not going to change anything.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

Well, it's going to be a clown show. The "world police" USA not arresting Putin even without ICC (I believe USA has laws about obvious war criminals with good track record, to detain them) and not inviting Zelenskyi because Trump's handler Putin doesn't want to meet him.

Trump is going to the meeting fully ensured of his great victory, but he'll return with Putin convincing him that Russia wants peace, and if Ukraine doesn't cede land, Ukraine is the problem.

Both sides continue to push hard before Friday, Ukraine has taken back some towns and reinforced Pokrovsk with some of its best soldiers. Its going to be all about the messaging of who controls what. Zelensky will be talking to trump today, not sure if it will make a difference for Friday though.

It's a stupid headline; Trump literally has no authority to give Putin shit. As Zelensky put it a day or two ago; if Trump wants to give Putin territory, he can give him Florida, not Ukraine.
And it maybe stupid but it has Europe in a panic over what will happen. Speaking of which, you know, the European Union is quite remarkable. You have nearly 30 countries that have historically hated and waged war on each other going back hundreds of years, getting together in a huge room and talking and working our their problems and coming up with solutions like civilized people.

All except this fat fuck that I have no idea still has managed to hold on to power...
Hungarian PM says Russia "has won" the war in Ukraine
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has said that "Russia has won" the war in Ukraine, ahead of a possible meeting between US President Donald Trump and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday 15 August.
    That was after;
Trump consulted with Orbán on Russia's war against Ukraine, calling him a "very smart man"

Pretty much the last thing Zelensky and Europe needs right now.
I swear, supervillians are running the world right.

Russian forces breach Ukrainian defences in eastern Donetsk region, reports claim

This wasn't unexpected. Russia is pushing hard to try and take whatever they can if there is some sort of ceasefire coming in the next few days. I doubt there is, but it still puts a clock over them where there wasn't one before.
Ukraine has been losing ground the whole time, that's not false, but the Russian trolls always pop up right after Russia gets hit hard by a country that defeated its Navy even though Ukraine doesn't have one. You could practically set your watch to them.

This is absolutely what is going to happen - the interesting this is what will actually happen after that, if the US removes sanctions on Russia things will be bad.

The meeting today, in the next few hours, is to deal with exactly that. The European leaders know that is exactly what putin will do, are are trying to head it off first. If they can plant the seed in trumps feeble hamster-wheel of a brain that putin is trying to trick him, maybe we can avoid that outcome. We will see by the end of the day.

I'm shockingly glad Rutte is currently heading NATO because he seems to know how to talk to Trump, mostly by treating him like a small child.

This advance is a weird one, especially when looking at the map. It was just a group of infiltrators and saboteurs sneaking forward as far as they could, a tactic russia has been using for a year. They just got a bit further than normal.

On the map it looks like a very narrow, long line sticking out from the front line. Except russia doesn't really control the line, their forces have no vehicle support and rely on drones for supply. And most of them were killed getting there in the first place.

It's also russia throwing away troops for PR ahead of the talks with Trump. They can say the Ukrainian front is crumbling, they are making huge advances and try and hoodwink the senile one. None of that is true but their stooges are trying to flood everywhere with that narrative.

There have been some massive breaches on areas ahead of Pokrovsk. The situation is chaotic and Ukrainians do not have a clear plan about it.

It will be funny if Putin accepts the Trump deal and then say, "I tried for peace but Europe and Ukraine rejected it", it will be even more funny if sanctions are lifted.

Europe is all talk but no action, all rules for Ukraine have been lifted now, Europe can send personnel and critical equipment in order to help stabilize the front, yet they do nothing. I don't understand, are they passively wait for America to take action? they can't act on their own? How can they say that Europe will not concede land to Putin but do nothing about it?

In b4 the "Ukraine is winning" forces here say that Krotevych is pro Russian.
It's weird that you think Russia killing and kidnapping children is funny.

Heres some headlines from the meeting yesterday, if anyone is interested.

Trump warns of "very severe consequences" if Putin doesn't agree to end war, says CNN
US President Donald Trump has pledged "very severe consequences" for Russia if its leader, Vladimir Putin, does not agree to end the war in Ukraine during their meeting on 15 August.
US president also says he would push for three-way summit with Volodymyr Zelenskyy if Alaska meeting goes well

European leaders tentatively hopeful after call with Trump ahead of Putin summit
European leaders appeared cautiously optimistic after holding a virtual meeting with Donald Trump on Wednesday, two days before he meets his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Alaska to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.
Trump to offer Putin access to Alaska's natural resources in exchange for ending war – The Telegraph

Caustiously optimistic seems to be a good term for this. The words are good, but are meaningless without action. We shall see tomorrow.

How about we actually pressure/sanction Russia into oblivion, instead of giving them access to anything just because they are warcrazed idiots.

    That would end it too.
    F capitalism.

Sold? I am not sure that should be said without quotation marks. More like gifted in exchange for Russia pulling out or Ukraine territory so long as they don’t join NATO.

Then Russia gets a foothold in range of the US and Canada to strike from and all the mining rights there with the bonus that any pollution they cause will be hitting the us and canada mostly instead of Russia mainland.
