Well, it's going to be a clown show. The "world police" USA not arresting Putin even without ICC (I believe USA has laws about obvious war criminals with good track record, to detain them) and not inviting Zelenskyi because Trump's handler Putin doesn't want to meet him.

Trump is going to the meeting fully ensured of his great victory, but he'll return with Putin convincing him that Russia wants peace, and if Ukraine doesn't cede land, Ukraine is the problem.

Both sides continue to push hard before Friday, Ukraine has taken back some towns and reinforced Pokrovsk with some of its best soldiers. Its going to be all about the messaging of who controls what. Zelensky will be talking to trump today, not sure if it will make a difference for Friday though.

The meeting today, in the next few hours, is to deal with exactly that. The European leaders know that is exactly what putin will do, are are trying to head it off first. This advance is a weird one, especially when looking at the map. It was just a group of infiltrators and saboteurs sneaking forward as far as they could, a tactic russia has been using for a year. They just got a bit further than normal.

On the map it looks like a very narrow, long line sticking out from the front line. Except russia doesn't really control the line, their forces have no vehicle support and rely on drones for supply. And most of them were killed getting there in the first place.

There have been some massive breaches on areas ahead of Pokrovsk. The situation is chaotic and Ukrainians do not have a clear plan about it.

It will be funny if Putin accepts the Trump deal and then say, "I tried for peace but Europe and Ukraine rejected it", it will be even more funny if sanctions are lifted.

Europe is all talk but no action, all rules for Ukraine have been lifted now, Europe can send personnel and critical equipment in order to help stabilize the front, yet they do nothing. I don't understand, are they passively wait for America to take action? they can't act on their own? How can they say that Europe will not concede land to Putin but do nothing about it?
