    While there are many reasons to fairly judge Donald Trump as foolish and impulsive, I don't see why he should be given the benefit of the doubt when it comes to acting in favor of Russian interests over those of NATO and America's other nominal allies. Donald Trump has always appeared as a pro-Russian agent in American politics. That his latest series of crimes against peace benefit Vladimir Putin's kleptocrat government ought not be considered chance or coincidence.

    Let's be honest here, Trump himself doesn't have enough brain cells to develop a plan to take a timely shit. The attack is one thing, you could just put that down to him listening to the war hawks in his orbit. But the immediate removal on restrictions on Russian oil suggest that someone steered him towards that specific action to get the desired outcome. So either Putin has made a phone call, or one of the other assets in close proximity have done the steering.

    The whole US government is being run by Israel and Russia. While they crow about "America First". It would be fucking hilarious if it wasn't so dangerous for the rest of the world.

    I thought this headline too good not to share, truly, one of Hegseth's greatest warriors;

    Former US general got drunk in Kyiv, suffered concussion, left classified maps on train, watchdog finds

    And since we are entertaining with humor this morning, have another one;
    Russia slams 'EU warmongers' for not backing Trump's war against its ally

    Bizzaro world continues as russia calls Europe hostile because they aren't helping in the war.

    Russia decided to bring ka52 attack helicopters close to the front again. One was destroyed - by a fibre optic fpv drone. The crew got out, only to be taken out by another drone. Trained pilots are hard to replace.

    Meanwhile, internet is becoming a lot more restrictive in russia. Soldiers are being ordered to delete telegram from their phones and replace it with the government controlled and monitored Max. Military police are checking to see if it is done and any not complying are sent on the next meat assault.

    And mobile internet got cut off in Moscow for over a week. Official word was it was 'practice' but that is one major disruption and in Moscow of all places, especially when they are ramping up propaganda about how much better life is without internet.

    There's a bunch of rumors going around about Putin fearing a coup. If true, that probably has something to do with mobile internet being cut.

    Putin says he'll stop helping Iran if the US stops helping Ukraine.

    Trump is already helping Putin with the oil right now, I can easily see him doing this, too.

    Russia offered to stop its intelligence-sharing with Iran in exchange for the United States suspending intelligence support to Ukraine, but Washington rejected the offer, Politico reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

    The quid pro quo proposal was delivered last week in Miami by Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev to U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, according to the report.

    Politico said the proposal will likely deepen suspicions in Europe that the Witkoff-Dmitriev meetings are not aimed at advancing a Ukraine peace settlement, but rather at exploring bilateral arrangements that could sideline European partners.

    A source familiar with the discussions told Politico that Russia put forward additional Iran-related proposals that Washington has also rejected, including the idea of transferring enriched uranium from Iran to Russia.

    Russia has expanded intelligence-sharing and military cooperation with Iran since the U.S.-Israeli attack on Tehran on Feb. 28, the source added, citing Western intelligence assessments.

    The Wall Street Journal reported this week that Moscow supplied Tehran with satellite imagery and drone technology for strikes on U.S. forces in the region. The Kremlin has dismissed the reports as “fake news.”

    Trump on Friday slammed NATO allies for refusing to send ships to the Strait of Hormuz, accusing them of failing to support what he described as a “simple military maneuver” to reopen the vital oil shipping lane.

    “They complain about the high oil prices they are forced to pay, but don’t want to help open the Strait of Hormuz … COWARDS, and we will REMEMBER!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

    Despite scaling back other forms of support, the U.S. continues to share intelligence with Ukraine. Washington briefly froze intelligence-sharing with Kyiv last year following the Oval Office clash between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

    One European diplomat who spoke to Politico sought to play down the risks of the Russian proposal, pointing to a January statement by French President Emmanuel Macron that France now provides “two-thirds” of the military intelligence supplied to Ukraine.

    Outside of Kim Jong Un, Putin is probably one of the most paranoid people out there. If he even remotely thinks there is going to be a coup against him, people are going to randomly fall out of windows over the next few weeks.

    If there is a coup hopefully this time the ones doing it don't give up in the last few miles and get nothing for it. The guy at the lead even died for it. Such a dumb ass.

    I understand kicking Hungary out of the EU isn't the answer. Its not practical and doesn't actually solve anything, but, my lord, if this doesn't get Orban and his FM banned from all future high level meetings and his party removed from the EU parliament I don't know what will.

    Hungarian minister shared EU confidential information with Russia for years, report claims

    This is active treason. These are traitors and if it happened in a single country, like America or Germany they would be thrown in jail.

    The fall out has started...

    Concerns among European officials over potential information leaks to Russia have prompted the EU to quietly scale back the sharing of sensitive material with Hungary, while key discussions are increasingly being held in smaller, informal formats, POLITICO reports. According to multiple diplomats and officials, this approach reflects longstanding suspicions about the government of Prime Minister Viktor Orban, although no formal action is expected for now due to fears of influencing Hungary’s upcoming parliamentary elections on April 12.

    Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk openly voiced these concerns, stating that reports of Hungarian officials relaying details from EU Council meetings to Moscow were unsurprising and aligned with suspicions held for years. He indicated that this lack of trust has influenced his own conduct in meetings, limiting his interventions to only what is strictly necessary. These remarks followed a report claiming that Hungary maintained close ties with Russia throughout the war in Ukraine, including allegations that Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó used breaks during EU meetings to communicate updates to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

    Diplomatic sources say such concerns have contributed to the growing use of alternative discussion formats among like-minded countries, including smaller alliances and regional groupings such as the Weimar Triangle, Nordic-Baltic formats and other coalitions. These settings allow leaders to exchange views more freely without the risk of sensitive information being exposed. Similar precautions were reportedly taken in the past, including ahead of the 2023 NATO summit in Vilnius, when Hungary was excluded from certain informal exchanges.

    Not to be too much of a Debbie downer but when isn’t Putin fearing a coup?

    He wasn't expecting one at the beginning of the Ukraine fiasco, but rumour has it that it's a bit more widespread than just a private military organization this time since there's some russian mill bloggers actively demanding the removal of putin and there's no way those would do tht if there weren't backed.

    Russia launches 948 drones at Ukraine in largest attack over 24-hour period

    Which is why I really can't take MAGAs seriously when they talk very earnestly about who the "enemy" is

    So, you know, that russian attack on Ukraine with over 1000 drones during the daytime that hit a UNESCO site? Turns out it they hit NATO too.

    The BBC are reporting that they were Ukranian drones entering from Russian territory, not Russian drones.
