I think people that expect China to get in line with the West are a bit delusional.

China will not go rogue just yet - after all their trade ties with West are very important, but they will support Russia as well. After all they have their own Ukraine to grab in a decade or so and they'd like some allies when time comes.

Yeah their own Ukraine is the part of Outer Manchuria which is currently still part of Russia. Which has a much greater strategic value then taking Taiwan.
