causasus...hmm i wonder where that term comes from and what its related to lol
anyways, the thing with the old world and royals was a different time, people used to think royalty was a right given by god,so ofc many didnt question
and again,a different time,we have plenty of examples of a group of people being more liberal in the past and becoming more dogmatic over time, the russia of old is nothing like the russia of today on social issues,i know this very well, its my corner of the world, women are second class here, and lgbtq arent even seen as human

I think at this point it's safe to say that Putin has lost it. He expected the Ukrainian military to crumble before the mighty Russian bear within days and instead they are fighting back and fighting back hard, revealing just how poorly trained and organized the Russian military is. Meanwhile, the rest of the world has effectively destroyed the Russian economy in a matter of days and Putin only has so long he can keep convincing the Russian people it isn't his fault before they realize that their lives being miserable is, in fact, his fault.

Honestly, the lives of these soldiers must be pretty bad back at home, they are probably underpaid without any future, so they don't care about dying at all. I can't see how someone would accept death like this, death is only rational if it's the only option you have left. Now don't tell me that all of these soldiers have low emotional response and are psychopaths because I won't believe it. I wonder how it feels to be dropped into an airport knowing that you have a small chance to get out of it alive and of course when you realize that your plan has failed.
I would not count on that one, they are pretty invested in it now to back down.
They both still have a viable exit through talks where Putin can save face by grabbing Donbass and making a parade out of it, while Lukashenko can just play dumb card of "we did not send out soldiers into this to begin with".
So I hope they will choose to go with that one, instead of pushing more.

Saw an interesting opinion from a former tanker on the issues the massive convoy is having.
He said '4 Tanks on the same road is lethal attacking force. 14 tanks on the same road is a mobile strike force. 140 tanks on the same road is a fuel hogging useless traffic jam. 1400 tanks on the same road... might as well abandon them all, nobody is unsnarling that mess any time soon.
Seriously, I don't think you understand how much tanks hate roads and roads hate tanks.'
Doesn't help that they are reportedly short on fuel and food as well, the terrain off road is turning to mud restricting movement and there are reports of 'accidental' breakdowns, a new variant of the old fashion shooting yourself in the foot.
If Russian troops are deliberately sabotaging their own vehicles, can you blame them? They likely really don't want to be in Ukraine and, to top it off, they are being paid in a currency that is worthless thanks to Putins insanity. The Ukrainians, meanwhile, have every reason to fight like hellhounds because they are fighting for their homes, their families and their freedom.
Wonder how much of that '40 mile long' convoy was supposed to be a propaganda effort on Putins part to 'show off Russian military might' and now that has blown up in his face, too.
