Of course the corridors the Russians claim to be opening lead largely to...Russia.

Pretty good channel to keep you up to date on the war and what the battlelines are currently, he uploads 2 times a day and "tries" to be neutral on the whole thing.

And yes the thumbnails are cringe and don't represent the videos at all.

Russia is claiming that France was the one requesting the evac routes go to Russia but France us denying that.

So why is it that Ukraine's plight has captured the hearts of minds in a way no conflict in recent memory has? Even more then brutal ones like Checnya and Syria where Russia was/is part of did. Sure it makes sense for people in Poland, Romania and other eastern countries to care, since it affects us directly ( millions of refugees with a poor vaccination number is going to be a nightmare ), but West Europe? The US?

Is it simply because Ukrainians are European and we couldn't care less if muslims/brown people are the ones dying? It's not the media attention since they focused HEAVILY on many conflicts over the years that got quite brutal but people didn't care as much then.
Ukraine is not only fighting for their own independence but also for peace in Europe. Average Joe might not be able to articulate that thought, but he's understanding it well enough. We've seen it happen before in 1938 when Austria was annexed without anyone opposing it which lead to more annexations.

If Ukraine were to just give up as well what do you think Vladolf would do next? Kaliningrad is Russian without a land connection. Or any other eastern European country he wants to get back home to the Reich. Ukrainians right now are fighting so I can sit at home and enjoy the new raid and m+ season. I very much care and I'm sure most Europeans the same.

Sounds like some of that Red Cross propaganda. I think we should just ignore them. They're known for lying.

The corridors the Russia MOD has posted are only to go to Russia or Belarus :/

Corridors to Russia only are a dick move and I'm not even sure for what reason. Like sure have these AND to the other side too.

I could see advantage there for sure - you're covering your forces while enemy is exposed. Oh well, Russia be Russia.

We all know why they are leading them to russia, so they can make a propaganda video on how they saved those poor people from those evil nazi Ukrainians. Typical russian move.

Yeah, it doesn't really fit their narrative if every escaping Ukrainian is running away from them.

Probably easily shellable or paths end at gulags. Helps you weed out the undesirables. The people who'd rebel at being conscripts. Those that would protest denazification exercises. Ones who'd abandon their liberators. Less unruly people to deal with after occupation.

Tactically it'd be a sound idea. No one has really stepped up to thus far, and the Red Cross may/may not have come across mines in the evac routes. The sky's the limit.

Is this confirmed? I can't see many sources on it, but it's pretty signifying if true.

Yup. And the "tears of joy" on the upcoming propaganda film, well, they're real tears, but a result from the 12 hour interrogation beforehand about Ukrainian forces exact positions.

Well, the ruble just hit a new low... again... this morning. It's down to 0.0072 USD (139 per USD). That's roughly half of what it was just prior to the Ukraine invasion, a quarter of what it was before the Crimea invasion in 2014, and one sixth of what it was before the Georgia invasion in 2008.

    Good job, Putler.

As a reference for folks as to what this represents in consumer terms: last time I posted that a WoW token was worth the equivalent of 17% of Russian monthly minimum wage. This new drop has inflated that to 20% of Russian monthly minimum wage - compared to less than 2% of the American monthly minimum wage.

Ye, I just realized that I have not seen a single Cyrillic name in-game for entire week.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
