It seems to me Putin never saw an outcome any different from a quick takeover. And since that didn't happen he doesn't have a backup plan...an endgame...a plan-b...he just doesn't have any way of getting out of this disaster he created.

He switched to flattening cities and killing the trapped civilians, either by bombing, shelling or starvation, in the hope it breaks the Ukrainians spirit and forces them into a deal, that at least manages for him to save face at home, he knows he is done if he doesn't, but with how much he is fucked nearly everywhere else in the world and by extension so is Russia, I think his days are numbered either way.

Lets hope somebody in his inner circle decides to do the right thing and slips something in his tea sooner rather than later! (Novichok preferably).

Given that some of the gear being towed isn't in Ukraine's arsenal prior to the war, I'd say some of that is genuine.

At this point Putin's stuck in a sunk cost fallacy and is hoping that he can just keep indiscriminately bombing civilians until Zelensky gives into - at least some - of Putin's demands. Like Russia doesn't have the troop numbers for a full occupation, but their army is so ethically bankrupt that they can just keep shelling non-combatants and hope it breaks the will of a Leader who wants them to stop shelling non-combatants.

It concurs with reports I am seeing from some people, that over the last 100 hours Russia has switched from striking at military targets and has switched over pretty much exclusively to strike at civilians and civilian infrastrcture - hospitals, bakeries, power plants, water plants, telecommunications etc

About the whole jet fiasco, why not just give them more drones? we are already giving them javelins and the like, why not drones that might not be top tier like the Reaper drone from the US but something of the caliber of the Turkish drones. With drones you aren't risking a pilots life and they can be controlled from pretty far away.

USA doesn't have TB-2 calibers. Only China has something somewhat similar, but they aren't good. Furthermore, you need to be careful how the drones are used. TB-2s are really hard to detect for Russian AA but they aren't totally invisible.

Russia currently encircled part of Ukrainian army that was supposed to fight Russians in Donbass - 50 thousand troops - and pounds it with artillery.

The rest just encircles cities and keeps Ukrainian army busy from coming to their aid.

Ukraine blows up fuel trucks; Russia blows up entire fuel depots.

They did not plan for this, for instance there are videos of russia shipping tanks and artillery from area around sea of Japan with trains, that's gonna take a week for it to arrive, if this was going according to plan, they would have shipped those tanks 2-3 weeks before the war started, not one and a half week into the war.

No, they are all made in Russia, from Russian materials, paid for in roubles, and drive around using Russian fuel (paid for in roubles as well).

Yes, losses are always projected; so far (by MoD estimates) we're below projections.
